This past week NBA 6th Man of the Year & LA Clipper guard, Lou Williams and the Lou Williams Foundation, held their 14th annual basketball camp at his alma mater, South Gwinnett High School, in Atlanta.
This acclaimed summer camp hosted over 180 kids (ages 6-15) for a week-long training camp. Each day the campers spent the day learning fundamental basketball skills from Lou Williams, Chuck Ellis (renown NBA trainer) and their counseling staff.
Each day Lou Williams invited special guests to surprise the kids throughout the week.
Wednesday was a jam packed day with appearances. NBA superstar Dwight Howard spent the day with the kids coaching them as they played, giving motivational words and having a very intimate extended conversation on basketball, education and more with the older group of teens. Following Dwight’s encouraging moment Comedian, Actor and Artist Lil Duval dropped in for a hilarious Q&A with the campers. Wrapping up Wednesday, legendary hip hop artist – T.I., inspired the by youth dropping several gems including how to really pursue your dreams and believe in yourself.
