It was only a matter of time before T.I. took a stab at being a sports analyst. The rapper, actor, reality television star and music mogul is now adding sports broadcaster to his resume.

”This was a phenomenal opportunity,” said T.I. as he joined the Hawks SportSouth broadcast team Friday night for the first half of the game against the Miami Heat, ”I really enjoyed myself. I look forward to the next time and doing an entire game.”

T.I., who sat court-side between play-by-play man Bob Rathbun and analyst Duane Ferrell, credited them for helping him make it through his first day, ‘They did all the heavy lifting,” said the rapper, who was wearing several gold chains and an old-school Hawks cap. ”I just chimed in here and there.”

T.I. was asked whether he would consider following the steps of Jay Z, Justin Timberlake and others by buying a piece of the team. ”I would love to be a part of the organization in whatever way possible if I can make a significant contribution,” said the entertainer, whose actual name is Clifford Harris. ”But there’s no pressure. Baby steps.”

Well  I can’t wait to see T.I. commentating again.
