T.J. Holmes, longtime CNN Anchor and host of BET nightly news / talk show,  “Don’t Sleep” received the Hennessy Privilege Award last night (Tuesday, – October 23rd) in NYC. The award ceremony took place at the trendy Catch Rooftop in front of 150 of NYC’s media elite, Hennessy USA and BET executives and the city’s top movers and shakers.

T.J. was presented the award by Hennessy USA – Senior Vice President, Rodney Williams and during his acceptance speech, T.J. reminded the crowd to watch his show:

“Coming to BET was more about the opportunity here,” said T.J. Holmes. “I have options, believe me; but I wanted to come here so we as a community can have conversations honestly with each other that are like nothing else you’ll see on TV.”

The Hennessy Privilege Award is awarded to those who have made extraordinary contributions to their communities. Below are a few photos from the award ceremony. Please let me know if you can use them for your media outlet. Thanks!
