Chris Brown’s absence from Sunday night’s BET Awards doesn’t appear to be sitting too well with the troubled pop star. The “New York Daily News” is reporting that Brown was “furious” over being left out of the ceremony. A friend of the singer tells the “Daily News,” quote, “BET asked him to perform and waited until the last minute to tell him it was off. He’s pretty shocked and outraged right now.” Insiders allege that Brown’s appearance at an event that was honoring Michael Jackson would have been a risky business move on BET’s part. Sources are also claiming that big names like Reverend Al Sharpton and rapper Jay-Z spoke to the network and said they didn’t want Brown to be present. One source states, quote, “Jay is a big name in the BET community, and he was very vocal about his displeasure with Chris attending the ceremony. He didn’t want Chris anywhere near the awards so close to the court’s ruling.”
Reps for both Brown and BET have stated that the singer was never confirmed to perform at the show. Last week, Chris Brown pled guilty to one count of felony assault for attacking pop starlet Rihanna back in February. Brown was sentenced to five years probation and 180 days of community service. The 20-year-old will also have to undergo a year-long domestic-violence counseling class and remain at least 50 yards away from Rihanna at all times.

This year’s BET Hip Hop Awards was crazy. Of course, it had its good and bad points. But overall, I’ve only heard positive things about the show. Many feel that this event was put together three times better than last year and went so much smoother. But the real drama is what really happened to Katt Williams???

Being Mr. Nosy, I overheard a conversation during the rehearsal that Katt might not be performing. Come to find out, ALL of that was true. Why didn’t Williams perform? Well from my understanding, he and one of the top execs for the show got into it because of his lack of preparation for the show and him not liking the set.  It is said that in rehearsal he was two hours late, completely unprofessional and one of his managers tried to start an altercation with the person in charge of the show! Blows were about to be thrown!!!

Apparently, Katt wasn’t stressing and didn’t consider the gig a win or lost. Allegedly, he was only receiving a little over 60 stacks plus ample gifts and endorsements for his services. But BET had something for him, just as soon as he was wasn’t there, he was replaced by somebody who some say was a much better host.

“So we were all hanging out last night and Katt bets T-Pain couldn’t beat him in a break dance battle. Not knowing T-Pain was an extremely DOPE break dancer, Katt thought it was an easy win. T-Pain said if I win, I get to host the Hip Hop Awards.” 

 It seems to me like Mr. Williams might not be seeing all his blessings, and there are a lot of comedians that would kill to host–but they picked  him…. People remember that you can always be replaced. Thats why i bust my but everyday
