Atlanta pioneer music mogul and DJ, Kawan ‘KP The Great’ Prather celebrated his birthday at Alibi. Guests enjoyed complimentary Martell Blue Swift cocktails and vibed to the sounds of KP The Great and special guest DJ’s. 

The Atlanta native entered the music business as a DJ for the legendary Dungeon Family’s (DF) first rap group, Parental Advisory (PA). He then went on to A&R the platinum album of DF’s second act, OutKast, soon after becoming one of Antonio “L.A.” Reid’s first hit men at LaFace Records. KP flourished A&Ring OutKast’s double platinum sophomore LP, “ATLiens,” helping singer Pink find her musical identity, and working with legends like Usher, Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson and Jermaine Dupri.

Pics : V-103 Pop Up Concert at Phillips Arena

V-103 hosted one of the dopest “Pop Up Live” concert at Philips Arena featuring Rick Ross, Big Boi, T.I., Meek Mill and Plies held March 25. Combined, the five artists have compiled more than 75 top 10 Billboard magazine rap hits over the past two decades. Ticket prices ranged from $43 to $143 and it was definitely a packed area (sold out) ! The station also promised surprise guests and of course Atlanta being the hip hop capital , there’s no telling who was going to show up !

I had the pleasure of taking pictures and getting to know the legendary Dick Gregory over the weekend as he headlined at Atlanta’s Uptown Comedy Club. It’s a rare opportunity that we get a chance to connect with real life legends and I jumped at the opportunity to take pictures for Mr. Gregory and the good peeps over at Atlanta’s Uptown Comedy Club. The 85 year old Dick Gregory gave five unfiltered performance at the night club for 3 nights. Atlanta’s Musical Royalty The Dungeon Family were definitely in the house as they headlined for One Music Fest 2016 at Aarons Lakewood Amphitheater. Fans from all across the city of Atlanta and beyond came out to enjoy the dope music of Atl’s greatest stars.

The legendary show united Andre 3000, Big Boi, Ceelo Green, Big Gipp, Backbone, Public Announcement, Big Rube, Cool Breeze, Killer Mike, Bone Crusher, Sleepy Brown, Rico Wade, Organized Noize, Witchdoctor, Lil Will, TI and Kilo Ali. As a real ATLIEN it was a dream come true to see my favorite stars all on one stage and playing some of the best music to ever grace the airwaves and what helped put my city: ATLANTA on the map.

Orlando McGhee’s Seventy 2 Music along with the City of Atlanta are proud to present the VIP screening of The Art Of Organized Noize, a splendid documentary that details the rise of the legacy production team consisting of Rico WadeRay Murray, and Sleepy Brown. The film is executive produced by Organized NoizeFlavor Unit’s Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere, produced by group manager Orlando McGhee, Joshua Krause, and Yaneley Arty, and directed by Quincy Jones lll AKA QDIII. The Art of Organized Noize was filmed mostly in Atlanta and The film is set for release on Netflix on March 22, 2016.  The event is sponsored by Martel and Coca-Cola. It went down last night in the ATL and we got special access to witness the shooting of “Saved By Grace” music video featuring gospel super star Deitrick Haddon with the Atlanta’s RAP legend Big Boi shot at Hunter Street Baptist Church located near the historic Atlanta University Center.

We out here in these ATL streets promoting dope music, dope television, God, and the HUSTLE.
