Sean Garrett & Angel Lola Luv

Sean Garrett had a brunch over the weekend where he invited ATL’s finest radio personalities, music moguls, and socialites.  Some of the guests were Keith Sweat, Melissa Ford, Sheree Whitfield of Real Housewives of Atlanta, and V-103’s Frank ski, Ms. Sophia, and Joyce Littel.  Garrett was promoting his album and share all of his accomplishents over the years, while thanking people for showing their love and support. Michael, Dorian, and Shavon of college Hill also came out to show love.

Sunday, I had the opportunity to have brunch with several black elite including, Kevin Lies (Executive VP of Warner Music Group), Russell Simmons, Stephen Hill (Executive VP of Programming and Entertainment), and most importantly, Debra Lee (Chairman and CEO of BET). This event was hosted by Atlanta’s own, Ludacris at his new restaurant Straits. And shall I say–cuz I love to eat, the food was off the chain!!!

It’s not very often that people of extreme stature and success are gathered together in one location. The room was concentrated with such heavy hitters and powerhouses who were very approachable. What was most impressive was that despite their status, these people were so humble and open to interacting with everyone at the event. What I learned while being in the room with people of that caliber is that you should remember no matter how successful you become you must always remain humble. It’s funny how some celebrities walk around with an entourage, personal security and officers, but the people over them have none of that. After attending this brunch I have learned that you don’t need all that but to have true success you must be humble.
