Hip Hop Mogul Jimmy Henchman Arrested

Fugitive hip-hop mogul James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond, recently linked by an inmate to the 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur outside a Manhattan recording studio, has been arrested on cocaine-dealing charges following a month-long manhunt. The owner of Czar Entertainment, is expected to be arraigned later this afternoon in Brooklyn Federal Court.

Federal authorities said Tuesday that Drug Enforcement Administration agents had arrested Rosemond, owner of Czar Entertainment who managed artist from Akon to Sean Kingston, in New York City outside the W Hotel in Union Square, where he was hiding in plain sight.

According to the New York Daily News, Rosemond tried to flee the hotel this morning, but was tackled by marshals and chipped a tooth when he fell. At press time, he was due in Brooklyn Federal Court.

In addition to the drug charges, Rosemond is accused of witness tampering and obstruction of justice, authorities said.

Last week, we reported convicted killer Dexter Isaac claimed Rosemond ignited the East Coast-West Coast rap wars that left rappers Shakur and Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace shot to death. According to Isaac, Rosemond paid him $2,500 to shoot and rob Shakur at a Times Square recording studio in November 1994. The fallout led to Shakur’s slaying in Las Vegas, and Wallace’s murder in Los Angeles.

Lala Anthony Cover’s Pynk Magazine

Lala Anthony covers the premiere issue of Pynk  Magazine. Inside, she discusses everything from decision not to do Basketball Wives to being referred to as ‘The First Lady of New York’. Check out some excerpts from the article below

On Basketball Wives

“I was offered a spot on the show. I turned it down. I have absolutely nothing against basketball wives, the show Basketball Wives, or anything like that. But I pride myself in being more than just a basketball wife. I understand that’s something that I am, but that’s not a title that I want to define me. I’d rather be known as a mom, a businesswoman, a producer, an actress, a TV host. I just felt like that didn’t fit who I was and where my career was trying to go.”

On Being Referred To As The First Lady Of New York

“I kind of laugh when people say it. It’s an honor to be called [The First Lady Of New York.] For people to even put us in the same category as Jay-Z and Beyonce — that’s just an honor in itself, but I don’t deal well with titles. To me, actions speak more than anything. It’s about being in New York now and being active, as New Yorker’s get active in the community. And getting out there and showing people what we are about outside of our businesses, with philanthropy and different things like that. That’s how you prove who you really are. You can be given a label and a title but what does that mean when there is nothing behind it? So for us, it’s about really embracing the city of New York. We kind of rushed and got here quickly, but now that we are settling in we’re starting to get out there and do some charity work and let people really see what we’re about as individuals, and as a couple.”

Antonia Carter & Memphitz Wedding Today In ATL

Toya Carter is spending her last days of single of the “Single Ladies” club is frantically getting ready for her wedding. With her wedding just days away, the reality TV star has been running around putting the finishing touches on her ceremony. When we caught up with her, she was in the middle of her big-day beauty routine (waxing, facial, massage, etc.). While she’s whipping herself into wedding-ready shape, what about her gown? “I had to get it taken in a little bit. At first I took in too much,” Toya told S2S. While that might usually spell disaster in most cases, she had nothing to worry about because she hasn’t allowed her seamstress to cut the dress.

Dress shopping for her mother didn’t go quite as smoothly. “Mom is super excited. Dress shopping, she was crying and everything,” Toya said, before adding that things went left when she and her mom couldn’t agree on what type of attire was appropriate for a mother-of-the-bride. “She wanted to pick out the sexy dresses. ‘No, you can’t be looking sexy like that.'” After all the pre-wedding stress, Toya will need to unwind, so the bride-to-be is planning to celebrate her last days of freedom with a bachelorette party on Thursday.

The happy couple has invited 200 people to the wedding, set for June 18 at 6 p.m. in Atlanta. Toya, however, is still waiting on some RSVPs—one in particular from her ex-husband Lil Wayne.

“I don’t know if she’s coming. I invited him

,” Toya explained. READ MORE
