As a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. I have a genuine love for the beautiful ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha. When my bruhs approached me to be a media sponsor for our Phirst Phamily Boule Party I was more than happy to use my talent of photography to capture the evening’s party but to bask in the PINK AND GREEN sunshine that is the mere essence of Alpha Kappa Alpha.

The Essence Festival is here and it’s in full effect. I love this time of year because it’s an opportunity to merge two of my favorite things: Travel and Music. I had the opportunity to see one of my favorite singers of all time the beautiful Mariah Carey and support the homies Jermaine Dupri and Da Brat at the Saturday night concert. The Mercedes-Benz Superdome was amped and everyone was over-joyed to see Mariah Carey perform live and in living color.

I had the opportunity to drop by Tisha Campbell-Martin’s new restaurant Xen Lounge with my good friends Tamar Braxton and her husband Vincent Hubert during the 2016 BET Awards weekend. Tisha and Tamar are great friends and had a great time kicking it with each other over a dope R&B brunch that was a live musical experience that included by girl R&B singer Dondria. The afternoon was not only fun but very tasty.

Over the weekend I had the privilege of being one of the sponsors for Once Upon a Smile’s First Annual Celebrity Bowling fundraiser at Pin Strikes Bowling Alley on the southside of the ATL. The event was a perfect way to kick it with the homies and give back to the community. The project spearheaded by Aaliyah Houston was so much fun.

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to support and capture images at the 2nd Annual Alpha Derby presented by the Alphas of Atlanta. As a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc I had to show my support to this worthwhile cause and celebrate the aspects of charity, scholarship, and flyness of the Kentucky Derby. We took over the City Club of Buckhead and we are FLY.
