Reporters caught up with Hatian Superstar Wyclef Jean. See the emotional video below.

As stated earlier this week, Wyclef says five-dollars will be automatically donated to the Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund through those who use their cell phones to text “Yele” to 501501. The public can also visit www.Yele.org to make a donation.

Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons says golf icon Tiger Woods has some big plans in store for the nation of Haiti following Tuesday’s massive earthquake. Simmons tweeted on his Twitter feed late Wednesday night, quote, “Tiger woods is doing something AMAZING!!!!” He followed up with another message that read, quote, “I heard tiger woods donating to send a cargo plane with a mobile hospital out there. Keep ur prayers high!”

Simmons is using his website, GlobalGrind.com to release information about the latest developments on how hip-hop’s brightest stars are helping the victims of Haiti’s 7.0-magnitude quake. A statement on GlobalGrind.com from DJ Whoo Kid reads, quote, “This problem is so crazy, so I’ve teamed with Wyclef Jean and his charity and relief efforts. I know that I am not a leader, and I’m very inexperienced in handling these critical situations, so I’ve decided to work with someone who knows the ins and outs of Haiti and is well respected by Haitians and President Obama.” Simmons and Whoo Kid are directing people to Yele.org, where they can donate money to Wyclef Jean’s charitable organization that has a history of helping the people of Haiti.

Keep Haiti in your prayers
