G.O.O.D. Music Album Gets Official September Release Date
It seems G.O.O.D. Music’s “Cruel Summer” is turning into more of a cruel autumn. Def Jam has announced that the compilation from Kanye West and his labelmates will be available both digitally and physically on September 4th.
G.O.O.D. member Pusha T had originally pegged the set with an August 7th release date.
Meanwhile, Kanye and Pusha are gracing the new issue of “Complex” magazine, along with fellow G.O.O.D. Music stars Kid Cudi, Big Sean, Common, John Legend, Q-Tip and 2 Chainz.
Kanye doesn’t contribute anything to the cover story, but the rest of the crew does talk about how Yeezy helps everyone and is always challenging them to be better.
Two Chainz also talks about his standing with G.O.O.D. Music, explaining that he may be an unofficial member of the team, but he still has a “great rapport” with West.
A preview of the “Complex” cover story is available now at Complex.com, while the full issue is scheduled to hit newsstands on August 7th.
Target Bans Frank Ocean’s New Album : New Music ‘PYRAMIDS’ & ‘GOLDEN GIRL’
Frank Ocean fans will have to shop somewhere other than Target if they want a hard copy of the R&B singer’s debut album, “Channel Orange.” The retail giant says it won’t be carrying the CD next Tuesday, July 17th, because of Def Jam’s decision to release the set a week early as an iTunes exclusive.
But Ocean’s manager Christian Clancy suggested Target’s decision may have had something to do with the singer’s recent admission that he had a romantic relationship with a man. Billboard.com says Clancy tweeted earlier this week in regard to Target, quote, “Interesting since they also donate to non-equal rights organizations.” Read More »
