The Soul Train Awards are headed to Las Vegas! Cedric The Entertainer will host the annual awards show that will be honoring the legacy of Don Cornelius, and the career achievements of New Edition which premiers on BET and Centric Sunday, November 25th at 9P/8C in Sin City.

Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, and Smokey Robinson are slated to pay tribute to the late Don Cornelius this week at a second memorial service in his honor. “The Chicago Sun-Times” says the Reverend Jesse Jackson will deliver the eulogy at the service, which is set for Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, California on Thursday. Don Cornelius Dead at 75, Committed Suicide

 WOW, I’m lost for words right now! Don Cornelius who created “Soul Train” was found dead in his Sherman Oaks, CA home this morning TMZ is reporting the law enforcement sources are saying it appears he committed suicide.

 

 

The cops discovered the body at around 4 AM PT. Cornelius died from a gunshot wound to the head and officials believe the wound was self-inflicted.

 

 

Cornelius was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Word is that he committed suicide denying the battery allegations and was very depressed.

 

“Soul Train” changed the landscape of television when it debuted in 1971 and ran until 2006. Officials have notified Don’s family.

 

Cornelius was 75. What a lost!!!! RIP
