I had the opportunity to check out the first episode of ROOTS the new miniseries presented by the History Channel. I grew up watching the miniseries and did not know if we needed another slave story. But after seeing the first episode and listening to Director Will Packer speak about his motivation to recreate this epic series; I am ecstatic to share this historical moment with you all.
The movie is a visual masterpiece and a great conversation piece about being American. The private event was held at Atlanta’s Center for Civil and Human Rights and some of Atlanta’s most influential were in attendance to see the first episode and discuss its impact.

Frank Ski and all his celebrity friends made a movie at Luckie Lounge as they celebrated his birthday. It was a star studded Northern Exposure event. Wendy Williams flew in Friday to help host and promote her show. I have to give it to Wendy her shoe game was right… Â Shawty Lo was also in the building shooting a video for hisÂ latest single. Ed Lover was on the 1s and 2s setting it out. Luckie Lounge was packed from wall to wall as all of ATL’s biggest Wendy fans came out to get a glimpse of her.
