Some disturbing mail is causing Fantasia to work under tight security at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles, California. Tasia received a threatening letter in a stack of fan mail just days ago. The letter contained racial epithets, including the n-word. It even read, quote, “go back where you came from and die.” The writer of the letter claims to have worked as a Fox security guard during Fantasia’s run on “American Idol” in 2004. Her manager says she immediately contacted Pantages security, who in turn contacted the Los Angeles Police Department over the letter. Fantasia is currently performing in “The Color Purple” at the theater. Security has been heightened there to the point where anything sent to the star’s dressing room will be pre-screened by security. Fantasia says, quote, “I will not be defeated by one isolated person’s hatred.”.

This isn’t the first problem Fantasia has had since beginning her run in “The Color Purple” at Pantages Theater. The singer plays in the starring role of “Celie,” in this play, presented by Oprah Winfrey. According to the Los Angeles Times, Fantasia had only performed two nights since the play opened on February 10th due to inflamed vocal chords. She recovered in time to return to the stage on the night of the 16th. Her last run in “The Color Purple” on Broadway resulted in a loss of a million-dollars worth of ticket sales after a sick Fantasia missed shows in 2007. Tumors were removed from her throat in 2008. “The L.A. Times” reports that her opening night performance this month at Pantages Theater was “raspy and hoarse.”

I got to tell yall after watching the Fantasia show last night I feel so bad for thinking that she was just missing all those color purple shows because she didn’t feel like coming … Tasia love ya and love the show..

This was my first time seeing Fantasia in concert, and I have to say, she put on the show of a lifetime. She is one of the best performers I have seen in a while. Her and her brother Rico ripped the stage. Check out the trailer below for her reality show premiering Monday!

Fantasia is now a broadway and television actress who rose to fame as the winner of the third season of the television series American Idol in 2004. She has been nominated for eight Grammy Awards. After playing the part of Celie in the Broadway musical The Color Purple, she is cast to be in the film adaptation of the musical.

In the September 2008 issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine, Barrino revealed that the reason for her absences in The Color Purple was because of the development of a cyst on her vocal cords. She was ordered to immediately undergo surgery which later revealed that she in fact had a tumor on her vocal cords. She now reports that after a successful surgery, the tumor was completely removed and she is now well. Thank goodness for that blessing, because she truly is an amazing talent.

Reality tv has been causing quite the mayhem and isn’t done yet! This time around its starring Fantasia, who is one of my favorite singers! According to VH1 the show will be giving her fans and viewers a close up and in depth look into her life. A life that they say is very relatable. The cameras wile following Fantasia as she juggles her career, being a single mother, and diving head first back into music. The 8 episode series will be thirty minutes in length and will be premiering January 11, 2010 at 10pm on VH1. Yl make sure you keep an eye out for it and support my girl Fantasia! Singers Mary J. Blige, Monica, Fantasia and actress Tasha Smith attended the Thurgood Marshall College Fund’s 22nd anniversary celebration at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers on Monday night (October 26) in New York City, and it was off the chain. I have to tell yall I love Fantasia! She killed it and she song 4 of my favorite songs. Kandi and Fantasia feels bad after releasing their Youtube video that has taken over the internet… Kandi went to her twitter page to talk about how she felt about the video.  In the video Kandi and Fantasia lets us see what they can do for their men, saying that they still got it… Let me be the first to say that Tasia got that booty meat and dont mind letting the world see and thats what we love about her… So many celebrities hide who they really are then a sextape comes out and everyone is shocked…  I really like the video and just thought that the video showed  them just have fun..

R&B songstress Fantasia is going gospel. The “Chicago Defender” is reporting that the former “American Idol” contestant will include a gospel track on her next album, a self-titled CD, scheduled to hit stores in early 2010. Once the album drops, Fantasia says she will return to the studio to put together an all-gospel release. The 24-year-old says her faith has always been a big part of her life, adding, quote, “Church is in me…I’m doing what I was raised up on. Even doing R&B, I’m doing gospel.” Earlier this month, Fantasia performed at the 25th Annual Chicago Gospel Music Festival. The singer and her mother delivered the song “He’s Done Enough,” receiving a standing ovation from the crowd. Fantasia and her family have been taping her new reality show for the last 2 months, where she opens the doors to her life for everyone to see what she deals with on a day to day basis, the show will be on VH1 later this year. I also heard that her and her boo Dro, might be back together…. lol you didnt hear that from me…
