Nicki Minaj and Rihanna‘s trophy shelves are sporting some new hardware. The two were among the artists who were honored by the “people” at the 2013 “People’s Choice Awards.” The event took place Wednesday night at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater. Minaj was the only female nominee in the Favorite Hip-Hop Artist category, but she beat out all the boys, including Drake, Flo Rida, Jay-Z and Pitbull. Fans voted Rihanna as their Favorite R&B Artist. She won the award over Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Bruno Mars and Usher. Chris Brown and Usher came up short in the running for Favorite Male Artist, that award went to Jason Mraz.
Flo Rida is whistling the week away at the top of Billboard’s Hot 100. The rapper’s latest hit “Whistle” returns to the number one spot on the singles tally, knocking two-week champ “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” from Taylor Swift down to number two. 
Flo Rida released a new video today for his single “Let It Roll”.  For this video he pulled in comedian Keith Apicary who goes from the streets to the beaches and clubs in Miami for the hilarious video.  The track is taken from the FloRida’s forthcoming album Wild Ones, out on July 3rd. Despite her issues with Kanye West,Taylor Swift seems to have a love for Hip Hop. She’s been bringing out different rappers on her “Speak Now†tour. Her most recent surprise on the tour was  rapper Flo Rida . Swift had a packed house in Miami, and when the bass line from “Right Round” began to blare from the speakers..the crowd went wild as Flo Rida joined Taylor on stage.
