PHOTOS: The 2016 #BETAwards was Amazing

DSC_6903

The 2016 BET Awards was epic and by far one of the best awards the Network has done so far. The show was hosted by “Black-ish” stars Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross who’s great  chemistry and playfulness energized fans and prepared audiences at the Microsoft Theater and across the world for a fun show. The show was hot from start with Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar getting everyone in formation to the close out with the beautiful Sheila E honoring her mentor and friend Prince. Check out my dope behind the scenes photos below.

Monster 2?

monster2

It’s been quite a year for Rap-rockstar, Future. In the past 12 months, we’ve seen the release of his third studio album, DS2, which just went platinum last month, and fourth album, EVOL. We loved the eclectic topics and banging beats we heard on mixtapes Purple Reign, and What A Time To Be Alive, a joint mixtape featuring Canadian superstar, Drake. We’ve also heard about him in the news recently for winning a messy custody battle with R&B superstar and ex-fiancée, Ciara. And in the same breath, he dropped his suit against her. It seems like he’s on a winning streak, especially after dropping the mixtape art for Monster 2, a follow-up to his 2014 effort, on Spinrilla just last week, but now we’re just left wondering: when is it coming out?

Billboard Music Awards!

nicki-minaj-and-meek-mill

Was anyone really in tune with the whole Meek Mill, Nicki Minaj, and Drake situation going on? Well, it’s nothing necessarily really major but I’m very observant so I just always think about how certain things that are publicized make people feel. If you want to know what I’m referring to exactly, it is all over the media that Meek Mill has not only he been really lowkey lately but he won Best Rap Album of the year last night at the 2016 BillBoard Music Awards. Guess who he beat?

Meek mill beat Kendrick Lamar, Dre, Future, and **drumroll please** , Drake! I know I was a bit extra on announcing that but because Drake is such an emotional human being, I just wonder how he feels about that. I am very proud of Meek Mill and his win but I just can’t help but think how Drake feels about this.

Especially, after the beef and this diss tracks that were made back and forth, I know I am not the only one who is curious if Drake saw this coming? However, it’s really not about Drake, this is Meek Mill’s time to shine and it just proves that God will make your enemies your footstool. It may even happen sooner than you think!

Congrats to Meek Mill, you deserve it!

Drake has Released VIEWS Album

FullSizeRender (8)

After months of anticipation, Drake has dropped his 4th studio album entitled Views. The Canadian rapper has been teasing fans and music connoisseurs for quite some time about the album’s official title and release date.

Several weeks prior to the album’s release, Drake introduced fans to two singles from the album. The single entitled “Pop Style”, featuring Kanye West and Jay-Z, serves an eerie melody underlining the strong lyrical prowess of Jay-Z and Kanye who are rightfully credited on the song as “the throne.” While the second single “One Dance” featuring Wiz Kid provides the perfect afro-punk melody for approaching summer. These distinct singles left fans eager to lay ear to the album and the wait is finally over!

I have a confession I love Yo Gotti’s “Down in the DM” it’s hillariously funny and real because we all know it goes DOWN in the DM. Nicki Minaj brought a little sass and fun to the track. Check it out after the break. READ MORE
