Grammy-award winning rapper, actor and entrepreneur Tip “T.I.” Harris hosted his 12th annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway for Senior Citizens in need at the Adamsville Recreation Center in Atlanta at Atlanta’s Adamsville Recreation Center. This year was special because the recreation is getting a new name and TI is introducing his new non-profit.

Tonight, Big Boi was honored for always making a positive difference in the community.   In addition to the honored recipient, the event was filled with a celebrity Philanthropy panelist who is always making Atlanta a better place. The panelist consisted of none other than Rashan Ali (multimedia personality and host), Jennifer Keitt (CEO of the Keitt Institute), Joey Womak (Founder and CEO of Amplify4good), Jay Bailey ( Chairman Pheonix Leadership Foundation), Jasmine Crowe (Founder of Celebrity Black Giving.com) moderated by Big Tigger of V-103. Celebrities in attendance were Actress Krystale Wilson (The Players Club), Shanti Das (Author of the Hip Hop Professional), KP the Great (DJ), Ed Lover, Kwanza Hall

Thanks to the “King of the South” TI, Atlanta experienced one of the best concerts ever. The rapper turned masterful business mogul hosted a private “Thank You Atlanta!” concert for the City of Atlanta at Greenbriar Mall a hometown favorite and the beginning of it all for Grand Hustle. Surrounded by family and friends TI along with his Grand Hustle and Bankroll Mafia took us on a journey of over ten years of GREAT MUSIC, FUN MEMORIES, and the EXPECTATION of GREAT THINGS TO COME with his new partnership with Roc Nation and his invested stake in TIDAL.

On Wednesday, June 25th, Black Celebrity Giving hosted the second annual “Giving Is Good” Awards hosted by Centric TV’s Ramona Debreaux. The event recognized  local Atlanta Non-Profit Foundations that have gone above and beyond in actively making a difference in their communities and raised clothing for over 3,000 homeless youth.  Special Guest/Honorees Included: Keshia Knight Pulliam, Tameka Foster Rashan Ali, and Egypt Sherrod.

Tyson Beckford Comes To Atlanta For ‘A Night To Remember’

Last night, Judy and Michael Mauldin of R&B Hip Hop 4 Humanity along with Bentley Atlanta and The Atlantan hosted the star-studded “A Night to Remember” fundraiser and tribute to fashion pioneer Bethann Hardison and the late designer Willi Smith at Atlanta’s  Atlantic Station. “A Night to Remember” starts off Atlanta’s celebration of Fashion’s Night Out on September 8th. All proceeds from “A Night to Remember” will benefit the Mauldin Scholarship Fund at Savannah College of Art & Design, as well as Invisible Beauty, a documentary by Bethann Hardison.

Model Tyson Beckford and WSB TV’s Jovita Moore were the MCs of the fundraiser, which included a performance by singer Kenny Lattimore, a presentation to Hardison and Smith, and a runway show featuring model and tv personality Cynthia Bailey.

Interior designer Michael Habachy of HGTV’s “Design Wars” turned the loft space above Z Gallerie into a white wonderland with multi-colored lighting.

The fashion show was real nice and a ton of celebs came out including: Actress Jasmine Guy, former model Gail O’Neill, Anna Maria Horsford, Toya & Memphitz Wright, Trina & Towanda Braxton, Tameka Raymond (one of the show’s stylists), attorney/Real Housewives’ Phaedra Parks, singer/songwriter Crystal Nicole, choreographer Andrea Kelly, singer Dondria, entrepreneur Peter Thomas, Derek Blanks, Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall, Roger Bobb, Kenny Burns (V103) all came out to support “A Night to Remember.”

I had the chance to talk to Toya & Memphitz and they were telling me how they were in LA and be on the watch for big things from them!
