admin Dec 2 13 20 Comments

DSC_2712The Yeezus Show is undoubtedly one of the best concerts I have seen in a while.  It met all of my expectations.  Kanye had all of his celeb friends in the house to support.  And he made sure he gave them a show that they would remember forever! I’m so thankful for my people tonight!   With out her I would be nothing and I am so thankful for her just thinking of me!  She knows who she is!!!

This one photo made the night and everything I have been working for worth while.  Kim Kardashian’s post baby body was DEVINE!!  She was at the Atlanta show in full support of her fiance Kanye just as she has been at all the other Yeezus shows!  She was really beautiful.

The homie Bow Wow came out to check out the Yeezus show.  Word on the street is that he was in the city at a popular night club spending some serious money!  B.o.B. was at the Yeezus show as well.  Don’t forget his Underground Luxury album comes out December 17th.

I saw the homie Weezy at the Yeezus show in Atlanta too.  He’s been chilling with his fam hard lately and that’s so cool.  Also in the house was super producer Mike Will Made It, Shannon Brown, Jermaine Dupri, and T.I. was there with the Grand Hustle Family.  Kanye showed so much love to his protege Cyhi the Prince.  He made sure the crowd shouted his name.  Check all the backstage photos below! Lil Wayne Plays Fred Flintstone for Sons Birthday

That Retail Chick Nov 6 13 0 Comments

Lil-Wayne-throws-son-a-Flinstone-partyLil Wayne and his baby’s mama Sarah Vivian threw a cute birthday party for their son Dwayne III (aka Lil Tuney’s)!  The birthday party had a Flintstone-theme and the whole Carter family dressed up as characters from the cartoon.  That’s pretty interesting, because I didn’t know that cartoon still came on.  Anyway.  Lil Wayne was dressed as Fred Flintstone and Sara was dressed as Wilma, which left Lil Tuney to be Bam Bam.

Lil-Wayne-throws-son-a-Flinstone-party-2The guest list included Wayne’s other ex and baby mother Nivea, who was there with her son Neal (w/Wayne) and her twins. Their  big sister Reginae was their in costume too!  Glad to see the fam doing so well together.  Check out more SUPER CUTE family photos from the party. Read More »

Drake Removes Controversial Verse About Autism From “Jodeci Freestyle”

admin Jul 24 13 0 Comments

drake-writing

Drake is apologizing for lyrics in his “Jodeci Freestyle,” just one day after J. Cole issued an apology of his own. Cole was criticized for rapping the words “autistic” and “retarded” to describe other rappers. In a blog post on his October’s Very Own website, Drake says he’s removing the controversial lyric from the song, declaring that it’s the “right, responsible, and respectful” decision. Check out what he had to say below:

“J.Cole wrote a beautiful and moving apology to individuals and families affected by autism who were understandably hurt by a verse in “Jodeci Freestyle”. I share responsibility and offer my sincerest apologies for the pain this has caused. Individuals with autism have brilliant and creative minds, and their gifts should not be disparaged or discounted. This was a learning lesson for both of us, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to try to right this wrong. J. Cole and I believe that it is the right, responsible, and respectful decision to remove the lyric from the song.”

Why are they issuing the apology you may ask. Check out what J. Cole had to say in “Jodeci Freestyle”,

“I’m artistic, you n—-s is autistic, retarded”.

The lyrics prompted a petition from the Anti-Bullying Alliance prior to the rapper’s apology.

Drake went on to say the following,

“To the parents who are fighting through the frustrations that must come with raising a child with severe autism, finding strength and patience that they never knew they had; to the college student with Asperger’s syndrome; to all those overcoming autism,” the rapper wrote. “You deserve medals, not disrespect. I hope you accept my sincere apology.”

Check out the song below and tell us your thoughts.

It is definitely open season on the homies and their lyrics. There was Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and now Drake/J. Cole. Is this infringing on free speech or holding our artist at a higher rate of accountability?
