The Bronner Brother Hair Show has been known for highlighting black hair, many times in very eccentric ways, and this year’s show was no exception. The convention brought vendors, barbers, hairstylists and models from all over the world as well as a number of celebrities.
Actress Lisa Raye and hairstylist Derek J came to promote their new products, and actor Malcolm Jamal Warner was at the Ford booth promoting his new BET sitcom “Reed Between The Lines.” Other celebrity cameos included: Lisa Wu Hartwell, Dondria, Princess from Crime Mob amongst others.
The hair show offered a variety of hair styles and trends for men and women alike, from hair weaves to natural styles to colored hair cuts. Models and everyday people wore some of the most out-of-this-world styles.
Workshops, seminars, classes and hair competitions took place throughout the day and culminated with a performance by Kelly Price that night.
Here are the photos. Would you rock any of these styles? Read More »
I just got wind of the rumors that Lisa Wu Hartwell of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Malcolm Jamal Warner of Reed Between The Lines are together. Well I’m going to have to dispel those rumors. I just got off the phone with my girl Lisa Wu and her people and they told me their is nothing, and I mean nothing going on between the two. They are just friends and they take really good pics together…nothing more…The two were spotted at the Bronner Bros. Hair Show this weekend, they came in separately and left separated and got together for a few pictures in the celeb lounge. There was no making out, no holding hands, nothing. It’s like they pulled this one outta thin air!’
Lisa Wu recently separated from her husband of 5 years Ed Hartwell. And I was told that what y’all need to know is Lisa is one of the most kindest people you will ever meet. Lisa hates the fact that people are posting these false rumors on the internet about her leaving Ed over money. They  are completely false. Sometimes people do things that can’t be forgiven and the 2 have been separated for months. But last I checked, Regina King and Malcolm were going strong, despite rumors that they were engaged back in January, which they quickly cleared up.
And if they were together, I’d definitely let you know first, cuz we cool like that. Check out the pics below: Read More »

The Mason Murer Fine Arts Gallery was the stage for Sister 2 Sister magazine’s Ladies Night. The party, thrown by Chicago-born magazine publisher and socialite, Jamie Foster Brown, including a number of celebrities, vendors and lots of black female professionals.
A number of popular female celebrities and influential women came to the event, Meeka Claxton of Basketball Wives, Ne-Yo’s fiance, Monyetta Shaw, and Michael Vick’s fiance, Kijafa Frink.
Toya Wright of Toya: A Family Affair promoted her new book, “Priceless Inspirations,” which recently made number 1 on the NY Times Best Seller list.
Rapper Diamond made an appearance, posing here with Trina and Towanda Braxton of Braxton Family Values.
R&B newcomer T’melle performed at the end of the night. D. Woods of Danity Kane was also present and R&B crooner Bobby Valentino made a surprise cameo.
Vendors sold everything from high end designer clothes and shoes, to black hair products to wheat grass pills to free massages. The majority of the vendors were black female entrepenuers and offered high quality goods and services; Lamik’s provided the free makeovers and Ultimate Vodka provided the drinks.
My girl Lisa Wu Hartwell was scheduled to make an appearance, but told me she was having plane trouble out in LA. But Kandi Buruss, former Xscape group member and co-star of Housewives of Atlanta, made an appearance in the final hour. Check out the pics and drop a few comments:
It has been confirmed that the Real HouseWives of ATL are returning for season four, all of the season three cast members have signed their contracts but one might not be coming back.. There will be 1 addition added to the # one BravoTv hit reality show. The reason why this show has maintain it’s longevity is due to the never ending drama my ladies of the ATL bring to us once a week. The downside to it is that some of the ladies have been criticized for displaying a false image of how African American women really are.
In my opinion, each woman brings a unique quality to the show that everyone can relate to including black women. Only thing that a person may have difficulty understanding is that due to the fact that they have money their experiences are going to be a little different and extreme. We also wanna keep in mind that the reason the madness is always elevated on the show is because “it is a show” so networks aim to entertain, so be mindful of that.
It seems like each year we are introduced to new members, season 2 we met songstress Khandi, season 3 we were introduced to super model Cynthia Bailey and “The Southern Belle” Entertainment Lawyer Phaedra Parks. This season Bravo Tv is in the works on casting a new member. My sources tell me they have narrowed it down to eight women.
It’s also been rumored that season 1 cast member Deshawn Snow, may be returning(I think NOT) to the show since lately she has some extra drama to enter her life. (Click Here To Read) She is currently looking into the potential gains of returning to the show or if getting her own reality show would be more fitting for her. But stay tune to see the outcome on that.
I can’t reveal the name just yet (I need you to comeback to the site in a few hours lol) but ill give you a little background on of the ladies that are being interviewed. Read More »
