In the past five years that XXL has been picking Freshman classes, never once has making the list been easy. This year included. Similar to 2011, the hype around the Freshmen Class has continued to grow by leaps and bounds, surprising even us with its popularity. Up and coming rapper Machine Gun Kelly spent part of his weekend behind bars. The emcee was arrested in Florida early Sunday morning for misdemeanor disorderly conduct. TMZ says Kelly was released a couple hours later after posting 100-dollars bond.
Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Richard Baker, sent out a tweet after being released saying things got out of hand fast, and adding that “it always does with us though.”
Prior to his arrest, Machine Gun Kelly performed at the State Theatre in St. Petersburg on Saturday night. He’ll continue with his tour on February 8th with a show in Los Angeles. Machine Gun Kelly is also working on his debut album, “Lace Up,” which is expected some time this year.

 It looks like Sean “Diddy” Combs has another big business venture in the works. “Broadcasting & Cable” is citing sources who say the rap mogul is preparing to launch a music-themed cable network called Revolt. The network is reportedly planning to debut on December 12th, and is being described as a music and music news channel with an urban vibe. Comcast is said to be in charge of distributing Revolt, although a rep for Comcast would not comment on the network. Read More »
