Mary J. Blige was spotted at the debut for the limited-edition FFAWN + Catherine Malandrino capsule collection of T-shirts at Bloomingdale’s flagship store in NYC Bossip is reporting. We have to give it to MJB, she’s been on point lately.

In other news Mary isn’t afraid to ask for a little help. The vocalist recent spoke with “Walmart Soundcheck” about her turn as “Tanya” in Tyler Perry’s “I Can Do Bad All By Myself” and humbly admits to needing an acting coach for the role. Blige says, quote, “It was a lot of work. I had to get an acting coach because I’m not [an actor]. That’s not my first profession. It was a blessing. It was something I know I need to do more of.” She says the film brought her close to actress Taraji P. Henson, who is now one of her good friends. “The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul” says looking back, making the film was “the best” experience in acting she could have had. She calls director Perry “amazing” and looks forward to more acting gigs in the future.

This version of the song, featuring vocals from Justin Bieber, Jennifer Hudson, Lil Wayne, Janet Jackson, Miley Cyrus, Jamie Foxx, Mary J. Blige, Kanye West, T-Pain, Usher, Wyclef Jean and much more, is much more contemporary than the original but it fits today’s music era. The song’s original writer and singer Michael Jackson also appears in the song and video (his sister Janet sings the first chorus with footage of Mike thrown in). They also kept one of MJ’s original parts and show footage of him singing it (Nice!).

The 25th Anniversary recording features over 80 artists and performers. The recording of We Are The World 25 For Haiti embodied the same enthusiasm, sense of purpose and generosity as the original recording 25 years ago. Every one of the artists who participated, regardless of genre or generation, walked into the room with their hearts and souls completely open to coming together to help the people of Haiti.

The video shows footage of Haiti and the efforts surrounding its repair, along with footage of the artists mentioned above and more recording the song in the studio. If MJ was here he would be so happy..

Mary J. Blige’s camp continues to deny rumors that the R&B songstress punched her husband during her album release party in New York last week. The singer’s publicist, Kerynne Tencer, says Blige was actually trying to stop an altercation between her husband Martin “Kendu” Isaacs and his brother. The “New York Post” quotes the rep as saying, “People lie and don’t know what they’re talking about.” Several people have come forward claiming to have witnessed the incident. A video of the alleged altercation has also surfaced. Blige’s new album “Stronger With Each Tear” was released last week.

Singers Mary J. Blige, Monica, Fantasia and actress Tasha Smith attended the Thurgood Marshall College Fund’s 22nd anniversary celebration at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers on Monday night (October 26) in New York City, and it was off the chain. I have to tell yall I love Fantasia! She killed it and she song 4 of my favorite songs. Mary had been taking acting classes for almost 2 years to get ready for the role and “put her heart and sole in the film. Get this, it is said that there was all types of drama took place on the set, but I will tell yall about that a little later. For all yall that wants to know if Madea will make an appearance in the film the answer is “yes“.
‘I Can Do Bad All by Myself’ is scheduled to hit theaters in September.

Monica,  Maxwell,  Mary J Blige,  Chilli,  MC Lyte,  Mario Van Peeples, and Mo’ Nique were just some of the few special guests who were in the building to talk about their new shows.  Monica will have her own reality show on the network, entitled, ‘Monica: Still Standing’ and she says it is set to air sometime in October.

Look at Mo and Chilli doing the “Stanky Leg.”   Mo ‘Nique will be getting her own late night show and a reality show that could be taped in the ATL,  so you know ya boy will be getting all the exclusive pics.  Maxwell is set to make his come back on BET later this year.    BET.com will be giving you all the details really soon.

My Girls Mary J and MC Lyte will be getting their own shows,  which will focus on uplifting young women,  and I have to say that I was really moved by  the preview.  Last, but not least I have to tell yall, that BET will be bringing back,  news programming with the focus on us,  which I’m really happy about,  cause the community really needs it.  You can see all the pictures in the gallery.
