Michael-jac- Bodyguards

A trio of bodyguards for the late Michael Jackson stopped by ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Tuesday to defend the pop icon’s image. Mike Garcia, Javon Beard, and Bill Whitfield said the “King of Pop” lived a sheltered life, recalling a naive comment he made one night on the Las Vegas strip.

The bodyguards also observed Jackson on dates with women, saying that when he went on dates there was often a privacy curtain drawn to shield the backseat of the car. Whitfield says his boss was either kissing his dates or, quote, “chewing loud gum.” The three Jackson insiders say the singer was, in fact, a man juggling two girlfriends. The three also said the pop star loved ordering food at drive thru restaurants, and described him as a good father. Garcia says, quote, “The kids would constantly tell him, ‘I love you, Daddy…’ It was like the four buddies. That was their world.” Garcia, Beard, and Whitfield say they plan to write a book to defend Jackson. The late pop star died last June at the age of 50.

It appears as if Dr. Conrad Murray hasn’t revealed the ENTIRE story about Michael Jackson’s (RIP) final hours. TMZ.com is quoting sources who say Murray may have attempted to cover-up what really happened based on evidence found in a SECRET CLOSET  in the late pop star’s bedroom. Murray told police he had administered two-point-five milliliters of the powerful anesthetic Propofol to Jackson shortly before he died. Read the rest of this entry »

Jay-Z is reacting to the new “We Are The World 25 For Haiti” single saying, quote, “some things are just untouchable.” The rapper tells MTV.com, quote, “I know everybody is going to take this wrong…I love it, and I understand the point and think it’s great. But I think ‘We Are The World’ is like [Michael Jackson's] “Thriller” to me. I don’t ever want to see it touched.” Jay-Z adds that while he appreciates the efforts made through the song to help the victims of the January 12th Haiti earthquake, he adds that a new song should have been written for the occasion. The legendary emcee says the track’s producer, Quincy Jones, is a “genius” who he respects very much. But he also points out that he made an effort to write a new song for Haiti.
Jay-Z says, quote, “I tried to do that with ‘Stranded’…I didn’t try to make ‘We Are The World,’ but I tried to make our take on how we felt.” Jay-Z’s “Stranded” was unveiled on the George Clooney-hosted “Hope For Haiti Now” telethon last month. The song features Rihanna, along with U2’s Edge and Bono. The video for “We Are The World 25 For Haiti” premiered before the opening ceremonies for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver last Friday.

In Other News Concreteloop.com is reporting that LeBron James and Jay-Z pose for a photo with some mentoring program participants at the ‘Sprite Two Kings Dallas Elevators Mentoring’ Event on Saturday (Feb. 13) in Dallas, Texas. The program was developed to give students an opportunity to elevate their lives, through a dynamic curriculum and a series of unique professional experiences.

While the legal documents don’t specify which photos he intends to sue over, “Entertainment Tonight” did air a photo of Jackson in an ambulance en route to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead last June. Dr. Conrad Murray was in a Los Angeles courtroom Monday afternoon, as the physician was finally charged in connection with the death of pop icon Michael Jackson. The former doctor to the “King of Pop” was arraigned on involuntary manslaughter charges and released on 75-thousand dollars bond. Members of the Jackson family including mother Katherine, father Joe, and brothers Tito, Jermaine, and Randy were present during the hearing. As the judge considered bail, prosecutors noted that Murray had missed court appearances in Las Vegas and asked that bond be set at 300-thousand dollars. Murray’s attorney countered, saying his client is not a flight risk.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has identified Jackson’s death as “acute propofol intoxication.” The drug is a powerful sedative generally administered only in a hospital setting by an anesthesiologist. As a condition of bail, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz said Murray can not be in possession of, or prescribe, anesthetics. The doctor had to surrender his passport as well. Following the session the California Medical Board moved to have Murray’s medical license revoked. Murray is due back in court April 5th. A preliminary hearing date will be set at that time.
Murray’s attorneys are feeling confident that their client will be exonerated in the case. Speaking outside of Los Angeles’ Airport Court on Monday, Murray’s attorney Ed Chernoff said the long delay in filing charges against Murray signals an uphill battle for prosecutors.

I have to say I wish I could have had the chance to meet MJ, but I guess I will just have to meet him through the video and pictures that he left behind… While on the homie MissJia.com website, I ran across this story about how R-Kelly is suing MJ’s estate for a video  that was taped. In the Video MJ was dancing to one of R-Kelly’s songs while riding in a car…

What has the world come to when people can try to sue you for any little thing… Here is the rest of the story:

Michael Jackson’s estate has a new creditor’s claim — thanks to one R. Kelly. Michael sang Kelly’s song “Ignition” in his car as part of the TV show, “Michael Jackson’s Private Home Movies” — but never paid for it.

Universal Music Publishing Group, which owns the rights to the song, wants Jackson’s estate to pay $3,000. Universal attached a contract to the creditor’s claim, showing the fee in black and white.
