ATLANTA – The Atlanta Hawks are adding a dab of hip-hop culture to their March 16 matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies, today announcing halftime and postgame pop-up performances featuring the chart-topping group Migos.

Migos released their second studio album, “Culture,” on Jan. 27 and saw it ascend to the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart for the week ending Feb. 2. The album’s lead single, “Bad and Boujee,” rose to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on Jan. 9 and was certified platinum on Jan. 23.

TakeOff from Migos performs over CIAA weekend. Quavo and Offset couldn’t attend due to flight issues. Ma$e also attends.

[Video] Sean Kingston Allegedly Attacked By Migos

Migos Finds Their Way On Culture

You’re gonna read a lot this month about the ascent of Atlanta rap sensations the Migos’ first Hot 100 chart-topping single “Bad and Boujee” and how it’s this very of-the-moment confluence of social-media savvy and celebrity cosigns from Drake, who remixed their 2013 single “Versace,” and Donald Glover, who shouted the song out from the stage of the Golden Globes after a win for Atlanta. And, okay, all of that stuff happened, but zeroing in on the peaks and valleys of marketing and triangulating the selling power of tweets is a stuffy, sorta inside-baseball method of parsing what has at heart been a long campaign of good music. It awards too much credit for the Migos’ methodical growth to memes and outside influences when the forces powering this machine have always been hard work, good punch lines, and brotherhood.

Migos Set To Host ‘Culture Class’ At NYU

Migos will be dropping their new album Culture this Friday, January 27, and right afterward, they will be bringing their culture to the prestigious NYU.

DJ Khaled has started the new year off by taking on the not-so “top secret” task of readying his next album. Being the master of social media that he is, the We The Best DJ shared a lot of pics and videos to hint towards who might be on the project, starting with a short list that includes Chance The Rapper, Travi$ Scott, Migos and more.

Music Video: Migos – TShirt

Migos hit the snow in the wintery video for “T-Shirt” off their forthcoming album “Culture”.

Dressed as Eskimos in bearskin coats, an abundance of fur, and Versace snow boots, the trio of Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff deliver another trap anthem visual. In the DAPS and Quavo-directed clip, the group is backed by a trio of women who seem to not mind the harsh weather conditions.
