Nas Is Pissed & Blames Promoter For Missing Concert

Nas is putting a promoter on blast for leaving the rapper stranded at a Canadian airport. Nas was scheduled to play in Torbay, Newfoundland last Thursday, but the rapper failed to show, and police were called in to squash a small riot that broke out. Nas blames the incident on the promoters, who reportedly told him they had “insufficient funds” to pay him. He also claims the promoters cancelled his hotel reservations, essentially leaving him and his entourage stuck at airport. Despite the setback, Nas says he still has love for his Canadian fans, adding, quote, “make sure you know I roll with ya hard!!” Nas’ next road trip will be as part of the 2009 Rock the Bells Tour. The rapper is teaming up with reggae star Damian Marley to promote their collaborative CD “Distant Relatives,” which is due out June 23rd. The 2009 Rock the Bells Tour kicks off June 27th in Chicago.
