Since his return earlier this year, Gucci Mane has shown no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Going into the New Year strong, the rapper shared the video for ”Nonchalant’.’ Taken off his Return of the East Atlanta Santa album.

The project will feature previews from Busta’s Extinction Level Event 2 and Q-Tip’s The Last Zulu – their respective forthcoming LPs – as well as unreleased collaborative joints, time-honored fan favorites, exclusive tracks and a few special treats. It looks like the self-proclaimed “best rapper alive” is taking a break from rap. Lil Wayne said in a recent phone interview with DJ Drama on Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 that his music is taking a “back seat to skating.” Wayne explains that the sport has gone from a hobby to a lifestyle for him, and if he wants to be fully committed to skating, he says needs to “live that lifestyle.” The emcee goes on to say he feels it’s time for a break from the rap game. And he says his fans deserve a “lil’ no Wayne” time as well. He notes that he’s “still on everybody’s song” and his Young Money artists “are doing awesome,” but the fans “deserve some peace” from him. That “peace” won’t come this month. READ MORE

ATL’s cast of Love & Hip Hop recently filmed at Pearl Bistro nightclub which is a Lo Key spot in ATL that people go to eat play pool and have fun.

The cast was on hand to celebrate Scrappy’s release of his mixtape, Full Metal Jacket 2.  He also performed a track off his upcoming album (The Grustle) that features co-star Rasheeda called “Shawty Sprung.”

The reality show premieres June 18th, on VH1 and the cast is still filming and will continue till the show airs.

Rasheeda and K Michelle kicked it with their new girl friends / cast mates,  and Mimi Faust I forgot the other lady name … Damn …

R&B artist Jarvis is back with a brand new single, “Make A Little Room” from his upcoming mixtape project titled Heartache scheduled to drop Summer of 2012. Jarvis was originally signed to Jermaine Dupri‘s So So Def Recordings where he released the single and video for “Radio.”

His days at So So Def were short lived though, due to the fact that Dupri left Zomba Label Group and took on the position of Executive VP of Urban Music at Virgin Records. Without the guidance of the music mogul, Jarvis re-evaluated his situation which led him to a brief partnership with Ludacris’ Disturbing Tha Peace Imprint which yielded the popular single “Pretty Girl” ft.
