DSC_7781It’s official. Mona Scott-Young has confirmed that Love & Hip-Hop LA is a go.  In an interview with Atlanta’s Beestroh of Hot 107.9 she said,

We’ve been looking at a few cities, it’s feeling like we’ll land in L.A.  L.A. feels like the next city. Again it’s about struggling artists trying to make it and that’s what’s great about the franchise but it’s feeling like we’ve got some great stories to tell in L.A.

Cast members for Love and Hip Hop LA have not been announced but we will stay on top of things and keep you in the know!

Exclusive: Love & Hip Hop New York Screening

image

Love & Hip Hop New York is back with a vengeance!  There are some new faces and of course some old ones.  We were on deck at the VH1 screening, sponsored by Myx Moscato and Ciroq, and presented by the 135th Street agency.

The first episode had tons of surprises and drama.  The cast of the fourth season answered audience questions after the love screening.  Noticeably missing from the panel, introduced by Mona Scott Young and moderated by Laura Styles of Hot 97, were Peter Gunz, newbie  Nya Lee and K.Michelle.

During the taping of the fourth season, Tahiry and Joe Budden had reunited.  Unfortunately, they were no longer a couple as of this evening.  When asked about the nature/future of his relationship with his longtime love, Joey said:

“I’m a virgo, so I’m not going anywhere.”

The audience included Roxanne Shante, Mona Scott Young, Ms Drama, K.Foxx, Karen Carpenter, Kim Osorio and many more. Guests sipped on the delicious Myx Moscato as they were treated to a preview viewing of the first episode of LHHNY.

So, what can we look forward to this season on LHHNY?

Yandy and Rich have started a new label, Lenox Avenue Records, distributed by Warner Brothers.  Erica Mena has a new object of her affection and it’s not Rich.  Newcomer Tara, mother to two kids with Peter Gunz will question her relationship and space in Gunz’ life.  We’ll patiently wait to see how K.Michelle’s presence unfolds as she gets acquainted in New York.

The stage was clearly divided during the Q&A, so I can only imagine what the reunion show will be like.  We’ll just have to watch and see.

I know we’ll be watching.  Will you?

Love & Hip Hop Expands to Three New Cities

Rumors are circulating about some new cities for the Love & Hip Hop franchise. The show might find itself in cities like Houston, New Orleams, and Los Angeles.

A production source said, “We are talking to a lot of great prospects and are very excited about the potential cast in all 3 cities. No final decisions have been made on cast or next city.”
