The hip-hop diva tells MTV News that she wants her career to remind fans that they should “aspire to be anything” and not let anyone knock their “hustle.” Nicki goes on to add that she takes pride in the fact that girls can see her perform and realize that they too can succeed in a male-dominated industry like hip-hop. Nicki Minaj will continue to inspire fans today with the release of her new album, “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.” The album features Nicki’s current single “Starships,” as well as appearances from artists like Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Nas and Drake.
“Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” will be Nicki’s follow-up to 2010’s “Pink Friday.” The album has sold nearly two-million copies in the United States thanks to hits like “Super Bass,” “Moment 4 Life,” and “Fly.”

Ludacris will be celebrating his 35th birthday with a new album. MTV News says the rap star is set to drop his next record, “Ludaversal,” on September 11th. The album will feature appearances from artists like Usher, Chris Brown, and Anita Baker. Luda says fans can look forward to a slightly more personal album, noting that he’ll be rapping about his personal life, experiences, and travels. “Ludaversal” will be Ludacris’ follow-up to 2010’s “Battle of the Sexes,” which gave Luda his fourth number one album. According to theÂ Hollywood Reporter, Combs will launch a network called Revolt with Comcast in 2013. The idea is for the channel to be focused on music and news.Â In a statement, Combs described Revolt as “the first channel created entirely from the ground up in this new era of social media.”
Jay-Z’s tribute song to his newborn daughter wasn’t a spur of the moment idea. Hip-hop producer Pharrell Williams explains to MTV News that he and Jay had worked on “Glory” before Blue Ivy Carter’s birth. Pharrell says “Glory” is their version of Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely,” stating that they were just trying to “capture a moment in time.” Pharrell adds that he also recorded a song following the birth of his child, but kept it under wraps because he’s “more quiet and private” about his life than Jay-Z and Beyonce.
Jay-Z released “Glory” shortly after his daughter’s birth on January 7th. The track featured a clip of Blue Ivy crying, thus making her the youngest person to ever appear on a Billboard chart when “Glory” opened at number 74 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs list.
In other news The luxury automobile featured in Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Otis” video is being sold for a good cause. AllHipHop.com is reporting that the 2004 Maybach 57 featured in the clip will be auctioned off by Phillips de Pury & Company on March 8th. The vehicle is estimated to be worth between 100 and 150-thousand dollars. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Save the Children foundation.Â
Fans can check out Jay and Kanye’s Maybach before it’s sold. Originally it was a $350,000 car, but weâ€™ll have to see what this one goes for. The car is currently on display at 450 Park Avenue in New York City Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
