 R&B star Ne-Yo is taking on a new role in music. Billboard says the singer is moving from Def Jam to Motown Records, where he is becoming the senior VP of A&R. With his new gig, Ne-Yo will produce and mentor artists on the label and also help discover and sign new talent.
Ne-Yo says he’s “honored” to have such a “prestigious title,” adding that he plans to follow in the footsteps of his idol Smokey Robinson. Fans can look forward to watching Ne-Yo on the upcoming season of NBC’s “The Voice,” where he will help mentor Cee Lo Green’s team. Ne-Yo is also working on his fifth studio release, which is eyeing a summer release.

Ne-Yo recently spoke out about Lindsay Lohan and her decision to sue him over his lyrics on “Give Me Everything” saying it shocked him. He told BET that he did not know anything about the song. It shocked him especially because there was nothing negative about Linday in the lyrics.
Ne-Yo says it was Pitbull who rapped the lyrics and rapped it that way. Lohan is also sueing Pitbull. The song was written by Ne-Yo and Afrojack, heres the vers she’s pissed about:

Last night was the movie premiere of World War II drama “Red Tails†in New York City which drew out many of the movie’s cast members and some of the real-life airmen depicted in the film.
The film which was inspired by actual events, “Red Tails†tells the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first group of African-American fighter pilots in the U.S. armed forces.
Move Producer George Lucas has a lot riding on “Red Tails†he has spent $58 million to make the film and $35 million more to distribute it.
Attendees at the premiere: Cuba Gooding, Jr., and Terrence Howard, happily posed for picturesbut got alittle to touchy feely. Director Spike Lee also came out to support.

Last night my homie Jeezy held one of the biggest birthday dinners the city of Atlanta has had in a long time. I have to say I am not one to party but I do like to eat, after drinking 5 shots of Ciroc and writing at 2:53 a.m. in the morning I had the time of my life…
I don’t know if it was the mood of the night or too much Ciroc and Red Bull but I have to say I really had a great time celebrating Jeezy’s birthday. It was a private event and only 50 of the most important people in G.A. was in the building. The dinner which was sponsored by Ciroc and Red Bull the event had everyone from the Mayor of Atlanta to one of SunTrust Top CEO’s who all came out to support Jeezy. This was the first party to kick off the BET weekend.
Luda Neyo B.Cox, Devyne Stephens and the man that put me on JD was in the building to support Jeezy on his big day. It was crazy hearing them tell their stories of how they got started…
Yo I have to say Frank Ski’s place is one of the city of Atlanta’s best places to go if you want to have a private upscale party.
Jeezy who is a very private person aloud us to see for the first time ever that special someone in his life…. and I have to say damn Jazzman Hot!!!!
