Aaliyah’s cousin and co-owner of her former label Blackground Records is offering some clarification regarding the rumored posthumous album from the late R&B star. Jomo Hankerson tells Billboard.biz the record is definitely in the works, and they hope to have it out by the end of the year.
Hankerson also confirms that Drake and Noah “40″ Shebib will co-executive produce the project along with himself and his father, Barry Hankerson. Hankerson also offered that the late singer’s frequent collaborators, Timbaland and Missy Elliot, will “definitely” be involved in the new album.
