The release of Lil Wayne’s rock-inspired “Rebirth” album has hit yet another delay. Rapbasement.com is reporting that the record has been pushed back from December 21st to a February 1st release. A reason for the postponement was not announced. Wayne’s “Rebirth” has experienced several delays during the year. The record was originally set to drop in April, but has been continually moved back throughout 2009. The first single from the album, “Prom Queen,” arrived last January and reached as high as number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. “Rebirth” is said to include guest appearances from artists like Eminem, Lenny Kravitz and Pete Wentz.

February is now shaping up to be a big month with Lil Wayne. Along with dropping his “Rebirth” record, “Weezy” will also be sentenced for felony gun possession in New York. He pled guilty to the charge in October after police found a handgun on his tour bus in 2007. Lil Wayne will be sentenced to one year behind bars, but he is expected to serve eight to ten months for good behavior.  Recently Lil Wayne shot a video for “On Fire” in Miami with rockers MAYDAY and Derick G was there like always. Critics say it’s the best Pretty Ricky’s album ever.

According to the AJC.com he is!  Producer and Rapper, Lil Jon is back! Lil Jonstill continuing to hit us with tracks with his famous crunk sound, but with a twist. His upcoming album “Crunk Rock”

will incorporate both crunk and rock music. Lil Jon states that he is about 80 percent complete on the tracks he wants and is making finishing touches.

The baddest b**** recently did a quick run through the city of Atlanta, coming out showing support to her new teammates/labelmates Jagged Edge; who recently signed to Slip-n-Slide Records. While their Trina talked about her new reality show, and  Jean line, Pink Diamond. Her new album Amazin will be out next March.

O I forgot to tell yall her new album is coming out Nov 23 , 2009 go buy it …

Chris Brown is planning to hit the road and make a little cash. The pop singer took to his Twitter page on Monday night to announce his plans to tour. Brown tweets, quote, “Bout to start a small tour soon, 15 to 20 dates, my fan appreciation tour. Just for y’all. Nothin bigger than four-thousand seater.” Further details pertaining to the tour were not announced. Chris Brown is currently completing his 180 days of community labor for assaulting his former girlfriend and fellow musician Rihanna back in February. As part of his plea for felony assault, Brown will also have to remain on probation for five years.

Late last month, Brown released his new single “I Can Transform Ya.” The track was Brown’s first official release since his February arrest. “I Can Transform Ya” will be included on Brown’s next album, “Graffiti,” which is due to arrive next year.

I was on one of my favorite websites Concreteloop.com and saw these pictures of the 1# Diva, Ms Whitney Houston who looking better than ever. She is clean and drug free, and I am so happy for her, this is what Concreteloop.com had to say:

Whitney Houston, who was spotted looking stunning as she arrived to her hotel in London this week, reveals the cover for her anticipated album, I Look to You. She recently held a listening session for the new album in London (photo below) for an audience full of VIPs, press and tastemakers and reviews were generally positive.

The new album will hit stores September 1st via Arista Record and is set to have collaborations with Dianne Warren, who penned the first single, “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength,” as well as appearances from R. Kelly, Swizz Beatz, Akon and more. Listening sessions will be held in Los Angeles and New York next week.

 

Fifty Cent is very pleased with his next album. The rapper tells MTV.com that he’s nearly finished with “Before I Self Destruct,” and declares it, quote, “as close to perfect as it’s gonna get.” The disc will feature production from Dr. Dre, Polow Da Don and Timbaland. Fifty notes that working with Timbaland involves a lot of comprising. He adds that Timbaland does things differently than he does, citing “Ayo Technology” as a good example because, quote, “you never heard me rap with that cadence.” Fifty’s “Before I Self Destruct” is currently on its third incarnation. It was originally due out in 2007, but is now slated to hit stores on September 8th. In the meantime, 50 Cent plans to spend his summer releasing unrelated projects. He recently put out a mixtape called “War Angel LP.” That will be followed by a 90s-based mixtape called “Sincerely Southside Part 2″ and a G-Unit mixtape.

When my source was asked if that was Whitney’s head photo-shopped onto someone else’s body for the album cover, he did nothing but laugh: “That’s not the official album cover and she’s been doing nothing but working out for the past several weeks! And all I can say is BABAY when you see Ms. Houston you won’t have anything but awe for the realest diva of them all.”

Ms. Houston’s comeback album extravaganza is finished and appropriately entitled ”Undefeated” She’s obviously been getting it in because her record label has already determined the five singles for the album (one of which WILL include a duet with R&B princess Alicia Keys!) and talks about the music videos and artwork are in its final stages. Apparently, her team has selected ultra photographer Dave LaChapelle to cover all her visual work.

My girl is not playin, my source also divulged that the Whitney will grace us all with a televison special and tour slated for the pre album release! In addition, the one and only Oprah has been given rights to the first interview and yes it will be PRIME-TIME complete with a release party for 2 HOURS including interviews, performances and special tributes to the diva of the hours. lol Do it big then.

When is the special day you ask? Well, I was told mid-December release, possibly December 16th, and the lead single may be released next week! If they get flaky we’re still guaranteed something before Febuary of next year.

And of course I saved the best for last! The Houston camp is contemplating a duet with MJ, written by and produced by R.Kelly. That’s right Whitney and Michael on a Kels track? Damn, they going hard ain’t they?
