Mariah Carey is happy to be alive. The Pop diva sat down with “In Touch” magazine recently, and revealed that her personal life “was a mess,” and that she didn’t think she would live this long. Carey says, quote, “So many artists just exist for their careers and then burn out quickly. That was me before I met Nick, and he helped me. I always thought that I wouldn’t be here at this point. I was thinking, ‘Okay, I’ve got another year of my life left. This has got to be the end of it.’” But then, she met Cannon who told her to “stop talking like that.” Mariah says she always had a hang up about artists who died young and even talked about it with Michael Jackson once, although she says she “can’t reveal what he thought” about it.

In happier Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon news, the couple is thinking about starting a family. She says it is, quote, “at the forefront of our minds. We’re very close.” Cannon wants two children but Carey says the couple would be happy with just one because she says they are busy and she wants to be able to manage the right amount of attention for a child. Carey’s latest album, “Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel” is in stores now.

Nick Cannon isn’t happy with the latest round of Internet gossip about him and his wife, Mariah Carey. In a posting on his blog, Cannon blasted a recent report that he’s being sued by the jeweler who sold him Mariah’s wedding ring. Cannon said, quote, “Ridiculous! I just got like three new major multi-million dollar deals in the last two months.” Cannon also noted that Mariah deserves to be “showered” with gifts, adding, quote, “as long as I live I will spend all my money on her and never touch a dime of hers.” Cannon and Carey tied the knot last April following a whirlwind romance. Cannon joked that since their one-year anniversary is coming up, he should buy a new ring for Mariah, quote, “just to STUNT!” The TV personality recently signed on to host NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” as well as being named the Honorary Chairman and development consultant for Nickelodeon’s TEENick.

 

Who’s ready for the latest crock of ish from the odd couple Nickiah? This is crazy. Mrs. Cannon is now revealing that her and her new boo waited until their wedding night to do the nasty. Hmmmm. I don’t know why I think this is funny! All I can think about is when MIMI was in the tub on MTV Cribs and it was clear to me that she was a women that touched her body…

 

This is what she had to say about their love life and consummation of marriage: 

“It’s not that we had no intimacy. It’s just me, and my feelings. I definitely don’t want to push it on anybody else. But we both have similar beliefs, and I just thought that it would be so much more special if we waited until after we were married. And it was, and it still is.”

Well, I guess Mariah, if you say so. Nah, but if this is true, kudos to them for having self control. Nick, I’m not entirely sure how you had all of that in front of ya and kept it in your pants but needless to say, I am impressed!
