Some college courses are more hip than others.

Students in one of Regina Bradley’s upper level English courses will take a scholarly look at landmark Southern hip-hop duo Outkast.

“My areas of interest are African-American literature and popular culture,” said Bradley, a professor in Armstrong State University’s Languages, Literature and Philosophy department. “I try to find ways to connect those… Often, students get most of their information, their outlook from how they engage in popular culture.”

Atlanta’s Musical Royalty The Dungeon Family were definitely in the house as they headlined for One Music Fest 2016 at Aarons Lakewood Amphitheater. Fans from all across the city of Atlanta and beyond came out to enjoy the dope music of Atl’s greatest stars.

The legendary show united Andre 3000, Big Boi, Ceelo Green, Big Gipp, Backbone, Public Announcement, Big Rube, Cool Breeze, Killer Mike, Bone Crusher, Sleepy Brown, Rico Wade, Organized Noize, Witchdoctor, Lil Will, TI and Kilo Ali. As a real ATLIEN it was a dream come true to see my favorite stars all on one stage and playing some of the best music to ever grace the airwaves and what helped put my city: ATLANTA on the map.

ASCAP held their 29th annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards last night at the Beverly Hills Wilshire hotel in Los Angeles. The dope event is a wonderful way to kick off the 2016 BET Experience weekend. I had the opportunity to see some and catch up with some of the hottest stars in Hip Hop from Remy Ma to Wale to Tribe Called Quest to Atlanta’s very own Andre 3000.

It went down last night in the ATL and we got special access to witness the shooting of “Saved By Grace” music video featuring gospel super star Deitrick Haddon with the Atlanta’s RAP legend Big Boi shot at Hunter Street Baptist Church located near the historic Atlanta University Center.

We out here in these ATL streets promoting dope music, dope television, God, and the HUSTLE.

The People’s Station V-103 hosted a dope private event at Atlanta’s Scad Show to introduce a select group of fans, Atlanta’s taste makers, and influencers to LA Reid’s new autobiography “Sing for Me”. The intimate evening was moderated by V-103’s radio personality and tv star Big Tigger. Producer Kawan KP Prather and Outkast’s own Big Boi was in the house to show their love and support.
