My girls,NeNe, Kandi, Sheree, Kim and Lisa, looked gorgeous tonight as they took over the red carpet of the Soul Tain Awards. No everyone Sheree was not wearing She by Sheree. But Lisa was wearing her line Closet Freak.

I have to say that the ladies looked very lovely tonight on the carpet. And shout out to my homegirl Bre, Kim’s daughter, for showing me love tonight on the carpet. 

Everyone was talking about how good NENE’s hair looked, she gave it to yall last night….

The whole cast of the Atlanta Housewives threw a major gathering for Halloween. My homie Skyylyfe.com covered the event for me and took some amazing pictures of the girls in there costumes, aka eye candy lol. I really don’t know much about the event, besides the fact that it was way on the other side of town, but from the looks of the pictures it was really nice. Also this was Kim’s first live performance, and she wasn’t ‘Tardy for the Party’, although a few of her notes were lol.

Kandi Burruss, cast member of Bravo‘s “Real Housewives of Atlanta”, has opened a clothing and accessory boutique named Tags.  Kandi teamed up with her friend, Peaches Chin, to open Tags, which is located in Smyrna’s West Village. Chin will hold daily management responsibilities and Kandi is the head of marketing and promotions.

Tags stands out in the crowd of boutiques in the area by catering to men in the area. About 60 percent of the inventory would be available to men.Kandi believes that Atlanta is a city of fashion and if you are in Atlanta, you will love Tags.  She suggests that the boutique has more to offer, being that they cater to the men who have nowhere to shop in the area .

Due to the recession, Kandi offers the idea that Tags would be a boutique that offers “luxury for less” with items such as dresses and bags for under $70. She is also open to including pieces from the fashion lines of her reality show cast mates Lisa Wu Hartwell and Shereé Whitfield.

Kandi enjoys the boutique, that serves as a distraction from her tragic lost of her former fiancée, A.J. Jewell says that she likes to keep busy.

Seems like Kandi’s boutique is very appealing and going to be a huge success. We wish her well!

 AJ’s Family is speaking out about the death of their loving son … EUR web is reporting that the blood disorder sickle cell anemia may have contributed to the beating death of A.J. Jewell, his parents released a statement attempting to set the record straight.

      ”Our son ‘AJ’ had the sickle cell trait which caused no related medical problems during his life,” read the statement given to TMZ.com by the family’s rep. “We feel AJ’s death was a result of the malicious attack by the individual and/or individuals present during the fight.”

       TMZ is also reporting that the defense attorney for Frederick Richardson, the club manager who was charged with voluntary manslaughter of Jewell, told the Web site: “I would have liked to have found a cause of death before rushing to judgment.”

TMZ.com is reporting that Sickle Cell Anemia may have played a significant role in the death of Ashley “A.J.” Jewell, the ex-fiancé of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burress. Fulton County Associate Medical Examiner Dr. Kelly Rose tells TMZ preliminary autopsy results led her to believe that A.J., who died two weeks ago after a strip club brawl, suffered from the life long blood disorder that inhibits oxygen flow to tissues in the body.

Police say Ashley “A.J.” Jewell suffered severe head injuries during the fight at the Atlanta strip club Body Tap. He was rushed to Piedmont Hospital, and later died.

“Rose says it’s most likely that Jewell was worked up from the fight — and because of his condition, it’s probable that he couldn’t replenish the oxygen he lost during the incident … which the Dr. says could have fatal consequences,” TMZ reported.

Let me first say I really would like people to read this and understand that AJ was a loving Man, Brother, Father, and most important man of God who was misunderstood… I was not going to post the story at first but after talking to someone who was one of his good friends he told me, “don’t let AJ’s name and people think he was a dead beat cause he was one of the most kind, giving, and loving men you will ever meet”..

On Friday, October 9th, family and friends said their final goodbyes to the young man known as Ashley “AJ” Jewell. If you felt like you knew AJ based on what was seen on the television, then you had no idea who this man really was. A portion of his services were dedicated to friends and family saying kind remarks about him. After hearing those statements, I felt compelled to speak out about how irresponsible reality television and bloggers have become and how damaging the media backlash can be to those around the celebrities featured on these shows and blogs. For instance, blog after blog, portrayed AJ as this deadbeat dad who fathered six children with four different mothers. But, did you know that he was not just a “baby daddy” but a husband to two of those mothers? You didn’t know that AJ took care of over 20 kids and helped their families by paying the rent and giving to them what there parents could not…You don’t know that because the media and reality TV coverage  ONLY desire to perpetuate the bad, most of the time. And, the networks shooting these shows choose to edit their footage based on ratings and NOT reality.

They won’t tell you that ALL his children had healthy relationships with their father and that his desire was to find Mrs. Right. They also won’t tell you that he was raised in a loving home by parents who have been married for more than thirty years. When his brother Isaac had a chance to speak about his brother, he used it as an opportunity to take the mask off of the MEDIA.

He even went so far as to say that the WORD Media derived from from the Latin word Medea, which has biblical ties to a very powerful witch. And through my own research, another root word is Medium, which means a person thought to have the power to communicate spiritually with agents operating from a demonic dimension.(Before you keep reading I have to set the mood, there was only 3 people with cameras in the room when the brother came up to speak. The brother who’s speech was so moving and informative, after giving the speech everyone and their mama was looking at me as I tried to hied my camera in shame cause I was at the time the media. I’m thinking the whole time please God don’t let nothing pop off. ) The bother then went on to talk about the word Hollywood, which were the trees that they wood hang witches on, and how Wizards wood take the branches from hollywood to make their wands. It was a really good speech.. 

The underlying message is you can not believe everything you read or see on these shows and blogs. When you are reading about these people, keep in mind; this is someone’s sister, someone’s brother, someone’s son, someone’s father. And, you are only seeing a miniscule fraction of their REAL lives. Reality television producers shoot hours and hours of footage but, edit them down to forty minutes of the most “entertaining” aspects of their subject’s lives. AJ’s father Ashley Jewell Sr., who happens to be a Pastor, spoke of a son who knew God, a son he prayed for and with, a son who he anointed with oil. He said his son was special and people who took the time to get to know him picked that up about him. And, his children will be continually be reminded of his short but meaningful legacy. It is unfortunate that he wasn’t able to find that marriage he was searching for with either of his ex-wives or with Kandi Burruss but, it’s evident that he left an indelible mark on each of their hearts.

Though it was for a very short time, I am very happy I was able to meet this guy with the unforgettable smile, Rest in Peace AJ!

NBC Universal announced today that it will begin airing Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise five days a week in syndication beginning fall 2010. Some of the wives are pissed and have even tried to sue the network to get funds for syndication… Get this … The Wives are reality show stars and are not in the actors union, so they have no protection when it comes to getting money owed for syndication… Since they are not considered actors they are not entitled to syndication checks, they get all their money when they tape, after that the checks stop coming … I think that is so messed up… Bravo can sale their show to NBC which is a all new audience and they not make a dime…  One of the wives told me when I called and told them after finding out while watching the Wendy show… 

“This is some bull shit, we’ve been fighting their as* for the longest to keep the show from going to syndication without us making a dime … Damn, we not getting a dime and they making all the money… WOW … They can play the show forever and we will never get a check that aint right” 

I hope they work something out…

I received the sad news late last night from a friend that my homie AJ died… I was at a loss for words because I was just thinking about texting him to tell him was everything going good. Ashley “AJ” Jewell, had six kids and my heart goes out to them and his family. His ex-fiance Kandi Burruss, who just got custody of 2 of his daughters, is not doing OK, she went to her twitter page to tell how she felt but has had rough week since she also lost one of her favorite uncles recently.

 

“I’m just in one of those moods where i dont wanna talk, i dont wanna b held & told its gonna b ok. i just wanna cry myself 2 sleep, alone.”

 

“ I could never n a million years imagine this happening. please pray for AJ’s children. that’s who im the most concerned 4.”

I was told AJ died on the way to the hospital after getting into a brawl at the strip club he owns in Atlanta called “The Body Tap.” Aj had been very upset about the way he was portrayed on the Atlanta Housewives show and wanted people to know that “he is, and was not a dead beat, he always took care of his family”.

Kandi you know I got you with whatever you need..

People at the club are keeping quiet and have not revealed what actually happened but I will keep you posted on any new developments.
