Robin Thicke became a father last week when he and his wife, actress Paula Patton, welcomed their son Julian Fuego into the world. While Thicke says he wants his child to be talented musically, he tells Rap-Up TV that he really hopes he raises the next Los Angeles Lakers superstar.

Thicke says, he will have Julian shooting a basketball at the age of two to try and give him a Tiger Woods-like focus, a reference to the golf star’s defining concentration skills on the golf course. Robin Thicke is currently promoting his latest record “Sex Therapy.” He recently finished shooting the video for his next single, “It’s In The Morning,” which features hip-hop star Snoop Dogg.

Robin Thicke is now the father of a baby boy. The vocalist and his wife – “Precious” actress Paula Patton – welcomed Julian Fuego into the world on Tuesday in Los Angeles. Thicke had to cancel part of his show Tuesday night at the Staples Center for what he called “personal reasons.” His tour mate, Alicia Keys, gave him words of congratulations from the stage. Thicke and Patton are high school sweethearts who are about to celebrate five years of marriage in June. His rep says, quote, “Mother, father, and son are all doing well.” Look for Thicke’s other new production, the video for “It’s In The Mornin’,” coming soon. Rap-up.com reports the steamy new video, starring Snoop Dogg, was just shot at the end of last month.

We Are the World: 25 for Haiti: Video

Gossiponthis.com is reporting that the music video for “We Are the World: 25 for Haiti” debuted Friday night (Feb 12) during the opening ceremony for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

This version of the song, featuring vocals from Justin Bieber, Jennifer Hudson, Lil Wayne, Janet Jackson, Miley Cyrus, Jamie Foxx, Mary J. Blige, Kanye West, T-Pain, Usher, Wyclef Jean and much more, is much more contemporary than the original but it fits today’s music era. The song’s original writer and singer Michael Jackson also appears in the song and video (his sister Janet sings the first chorus with footage of Mike thrown in). They also kept one of MJ’s original parts and show footage of him singing it (Nice!).

The 25th Anniversary recording features over 80 artists and performers. The recording of We Are The World 25 For Haiti embodied the same enthusiasm, sense of purpose and generosity as the original recording 25 years ago. Every one of the artists who participated, regardless of genre or generation, walked into the room with their hearts and souls completely open to coming together to help the people of Haiti.

The video shows footage of Haiti and the efforts surrounding its repair, along with footage of the artists mentioned above and more recording the song in the studio. If MJ was here he would be so happy..
