The other weekend one of  Atlanta’s Top Radio Personality Ryan Cameron, held one of the largest Youth Health Fairs the State of Georgia has ever seen. 

Did you know that 17% of kids who are ages 6-11 are overweight? I know I didn’t, and that is an on going issue with the rate of obesity rising in the African American community. Did you know that 2 million adolescents aged 12-19 have pre-diabetes. That is also something that I was unaware of, and the fact that African American race already has a high number of diabetes, it can be harmful to go without knowing about it, especially as youth.

The Ryan Cameron Foundation (RCF) are aware of these issues and many more, and has decided to do something about it. The 2nd Annual Youth Health Fair took place on October 24th at South DeKalb Mall. And over 650 people were provided free health services. RCF would like to give a special thanks to: Aetna Foundation, Atlanta West Primary Care and all of the vendors that made this event possible.

I have to say that I love a woman that can really sang, I’m talking bout that singing that makes you wanna cry and slap yo granny- “that good old make you wanna say take, it its yours”… That’s the feeling I had when I saw one of the best female groups of all time last week for the first time SWV… 

Sisters With Voices AKA SWV came to one of Atlanta’s  newest hot spots, The Point in what was one of their first concerts in years. I must say they ripped it.  I am one of their biggest fans and felt the same way I felt in 4th grade when I first heard Weak! The group went there separate ways one getting married and starting a family one pursuing a gospel career… The event was hosted by my homie Ryan Cameron they truly are some Sisters With Voices!

Candy and Kim were interviewed by Ryan Cameron and Wanda on the Frank and Wanda show this morning.  Candy kept it real and dominated the interview this morning.  Candy spoke on several issues, such as, her relationship with other members of X-scape.  Candy mentioned that there will never be another X-scape album.  Partly because of her relationship with one of the other members who she did not mention.  During the interview Candy played a song that she recorded with Gucci titled “Trade Him In.”  Candy also mentioned that Tiny a former member of X-Scape will also be on her album.  Just a few weeks ago there were rumors floating around that Candy was engaged, but when Ryan asked her about the engagement she didn’t confirm nor deny the rumor. However she was not wearing an engagement ring like Kim was.

Kim on the other hand was more on the quiet side.  She didn’t open up too much about her personal life.  She was wearing a huge ring on her wedding finger but stated that it was a promise ring.  Kim also played a snippet of her upcoming single, which is surprisingly a dance track and not  a country track that everyone is expecting. Kim also spoke about her relationship with NeNe.  ”My relationship with NeNe is at the end of the road, especially after the fight at Atlantic Station” said Kim.   She also talked about her new wig line that will becoming out later this year…

Ryan Cameron one of Atlanta’s top radio host celebrated his anniversary in a big way. The entire city of Atlanta came out to support him and show him love for his 4 year anniversary which was held at Opera  night club. I have to say that I was quite moved after hearing these young women talk about how much they loved his show.

“Everyday no matter what I am doing I have to listen to him, no matter what I am doing I still keep my radio on. He makes me feel happy when I’m down and always lets me know whats really going on in the Ryan Report.”

 

Many of the industries old and new celebs stopped through to give the Ryan King his props. In attendance was rapper Young Dro, Young Joc, Slim from 112, producer Brian Michael Cox, Chili, Frankie and many noted others. I have to say that I was lost for words when I saw him,  I was his biggest fan when I was A child, all I played was… Jump Jump… While there Chris  talked about going on Tour with MJ as a child, and how he was lost for words after hearing that he passed.

I have to say I love me some Chilli!! Ooooohh she makes me want to have a red light special all over my granny’s table. She  came out to show love to Ryan Cameron for his 4 year anniversary. While there she talked about her new reality show that will be coming out later this year. The show will be filmed in the ATL, where she’s out trying to find a man… I told her when ever she’s ready I’m here… Y’all know I can’t type so I went to her fan site and copied and pasted the info From Chilli-Online.com lol…

VH1 has given the green light to three new series starring pseudonymous talent. TLC’s “Chilli,” Salt n’ Pepa’s “Pepa” and “The Entertainer” from I Love NY and I Love Money will all star in new shows for the network in 2010. VH1 has also ordered a second season of Sober House with Dr. Drew and a seventh season of Celebrity Fit Club.

The Chilli Project (working title) will feature the former TLC star searching for love with the help of relationship expert Tionna Smalls. The network has ordered eight half hour episodes of the program, which is from FremantleMedia North America.

The Entertainer will use a similar format to the network’s other dating shows, bringing together a group of young bachelorettes that try to woo Frank “The Entertainer” Moresco’s heart, and help him move out of his parent’s basement. VH1 has ordered 10 one hour episodes.

 

On Friday I was invited to take pictures of my girl Ciara in the studio with the one and only from 2 till 6 on V-103 in Atlanta Ryan King. When we got there the drama started and the cat was let out of the bag. Ciara who came to promote her new album “Fantasy Ride” which comes out in May was shocked when she found out that her boy Polow Da Don, was in the building who was there to drop off a CD. The Ryan King who wanted to make an end to all the craziness’ that is going on asked if they could do the interview together, and some of the best radio since the Khia interview with Porsche Foxx was Born.

When I tell you it was on and popping in the studio, Ciara who had not talked to Polow since the remix to “tuning me on” was released, said “that she didn’t know who Keri was talking about and that she didn’t even understand what would make her put the song out, it seemed unlike her”. Polow who is the producer of the song was there to help make it more clear that it was not about Ciara, or Beyonce but about other hater’s or people that just wanted to bring Keri down. Keri who was not there in the studio but who did called in said “the track was leaked without her permission, and that she never intended to hurt anyone but stands by what she said in the song”. Although she never said who the song was about she said “I was not talking about Ciara, Beyonce, or Keisha Cole”. I wish I could tell you the rest but I had to sign a gag order before going into the studio. But know that everything was made OK and there is nothing but love. But I still want to know who Keri was talking about… HUMMM…

Thanksgiving night Ryan Cameron held his 17th Annual Bowling Challenge held at 300 bowling alley in Atlanta. Celebs came out to burn off some of that Thanksgiving dinner to compete in good fun for the title of the bowling challenge. Dtp(Ludacris camp), Big Boi Foundation and Grand Hustle showed their true bowling game! All three camps did a great job and even scored the highest points at the event! Ryan was happy with the turn out and congratulated everyone on their efforts and said as special thanks to his sponsors for coming out.
