What a way to top of ATL Live Park Tavern first annual show. ATL Live on Park Tavern started a year ago by music industry veteran Shanti Das and Marlon Nichols who were both on a quest to bring classic R&B music back to Atlanta, an element we were definitely missing in this day and age. So every second Tuesday of the month Shanti put together showcases that gave new artists that were signed to record labels a platform to display their musical craft. At the end of the showcase there would always be a headliner that paved the way to the artist of our future.

On tonights roster were emerging JIVE Records acts Jawan Harris and Big Heed & Alien, Fonzworth Bentley and R&B veteran group NEXT. Needless to say the line up was amazing, bringing the crowd an variety array musical selection. I have to say I was definitely impressed with Fonzworth’s performance, he is definitely an entertainer and strives to give his audiences quality performances.

But you know I have to be bias because finally the homies from “NEXT” definitely went hard. Don’ t get it twisted they maybe veterans in the game but nothing about them speaks Vet. From the dance routines, constant high powered energy, quality vocal arrangements, and physical appearance (NoHomo) but the brothers are doing their thing making me wanna get my lazy self in the gym so I can get some of their groupies. Great performance my dudes and we will definitely be on the lookout for the upcoming album from NEXT once it’s complete.

In last night’s episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta my girl Kandi sang her heart out to all her closet friends, and of corse the other members of the Housewives.  This was the first episode all the girls met each other in one place this season. We saw the big fight and makeup wit Nene Dwight and her son, Sheree’s has a new man, Kim started working out and is about to do her first concert, Phaedra Parks let us meet her mama and let us know she don’t take no mess, Cynthia Bailey showed off her club, and most importantly we got the chance to listen to one of Kandi’s new songs that she sang live on stage. Just so yall know FreddyO & Lisa Wu Hartwell were also in the building they just edited us out of all of the scenes.(why they hating)

The song featured on the show was called “I just Know” and was written by Kandi. Kandi wrote the song for AJ and all the love they shared when they first started talking about getting married. You can buy the song on Itunes(Buy Here) and it will be on her forthcoming album called “Kandi Koated”, which comes out November 23 2010. Make sure yall buy 3 copies…. Here’s the song and all the photo’s tell me if yall are feeling it?

Last night the ladies and a few gentlemen of ATL came out to the Moet Screening of  Sex & The City 2 Movie premiere. I have to say the movie was very funny, but alot of the jokes went over my head. You have to know the characters. If you are a mom or a wife with a husband that enjoys watching movies on the  sofa and ordering food; this is the movie for you. In attendance to the event was Kim Porter, Sheree Whitfield, Keisha Knight-Pulliam, Carla Ferrell, D Woods, and a host of other prominent black women in America.

After receiving bad reviews from the top movie critics,  I have to saw I do not agree with them. Its really one of the movies you have to see with a date.

If you all are wondering what Kim Porter is doing in the Atl, she is currently working on a “movie” with Lisa Raye, Lauren London, and Stacy Dash. Be on the look out for that.
