New Music: DJ Genius New Mixtape “Virtuoso”

Genius’ “Virtuoso” is a collection of songs that depict the life of DJ Genius. Genius has used his life experiences, combined with his experience in the business to collaborate with some of the best and brightest artists to create the ultimate project with virtuoso performances. “Virtuoso” includes collaborations from Waka Flocka Flame, Verse Simmonds, Rich Kidz, Gorilla Zoe, K. Camp, Mike Fresh, and Gorilla Zoe.


Duct Tape / Atlantic Records recording artist, Alley Boy, reflects on fellow ATL rapper Slim Dunkin’s passing, how he felt when he heard about the news, and knowing Young Vito, the rapper involved with the murder, who is currently being held in Fulton County jail on murder and gun possession charges.

Fans of my homie Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame have a lot to look forward to this summer. Waka has been doing a major radio run to talk about everything he has going on and stopped but Atlanta newest Radio Host  V-103 personality Egypt Sherrod. “Triple F Life: Friends, Fans and Family” will feature appearances from artists such as Ludacris, B.o.B., Trey Songz and Tyga. The record will serve as Waka Flocka Flame’s follow-up to his 2010 debut “Flockaveli,” which produced the hit singles “No Hands” and “Hard in da Paint.”

Young Vito Indicted In Slim Dunkin Murder

The man suspected in the murder of Atlanta rapper Slim Dunkin was indicted by a grand jury this week. The “Atlanta Journal-Constitution” says rapper Young Vito, whose real name is Vinson Hardimon, was formally charged on Tuesday with felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony. Young Vito is accused of shooting Slim Dunkin, real name Mario Hamilton, on December 16th in an Atlanta recording studio. READ MORE

Suspect In Slim Dunkin Murder Young Vito Denied Bond

The suspect in the murder of Atlanta rapper Slim Dunkin will remain behind bars.


The “Atlanta Journal-Constitution” is reporting that Vinson Hardimon was denied bond during a hearing on Tuesday. Hardimon, who goes by the name Young Vito, was returned to the Fulton County Jail on murder and gun possession charges.


Hardimon is suspected of shooting and killing Slim Dunkin, whose real name is Mario Hamilton, at an Atlanta recording studio on December 16th.


Witnesses have told authorities that the altercation started over a piece of candy.


Slim Dunkin was laid to rest last month, with fellow rappers Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame paying for the majority of his funeral.

Rapper Young Vito Police ID As Suspect In Slim Dunkin Murder

Things in Atlanta are getting crazy. AllhipHop is reporting that Police are seeking an Atlanta rapper in connection with the murder of Slim Dunkin. Rapper Young Vito is being sought in connection with the shooting death of Slim Dunkin, who was killed in an Atlanta studio last Friday (December 16).
Police believe Young Vito shot Slim Dunkin in the chest, during an altercation that allegedly started over a piece of candy.
Atlanta police have urged the 28-year-old suspect born, Vinson Hardimon, to turn himself in immediately for his own safety. READ MORE
