Chris Brown Leads Nominees List At 2011 Soul Train Awards

Chris Brown is poised to steal the spotlight at yet another awards show. The R&B superstar, who was the big winner at this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards, is leading all nominees going into next month’s Soul Train Awards. Chris is up for a total of five awards, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Male R&B/Soul Artist. Pop megastar Beyonce is also eyeing a big night with four nominations. The 6th Annual BET Hip Hop Awards & Soul Train Awards will return to Atlanta

Just so yall know BET Network loves Atlanta and the feeling is mutual.

The network is bringing its 6th annual BET Hip Hop Awards back this fall.  For the last four years the show has been taped at the Atlanta Civic Center and is scheduled to return the first Saturday of October 2011. This event has always sold out.   Although it’s taped in advance, the show runs very close to real time for attendees. The security during the event is incredibly tight; it seems to be just as many guards as attendees.

The Soul Train Awards, which airs on Centric and BET Networks, will also return this year. Produced in 2009, at the Georgia World Congress Center and in 2010 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center. Read More »

Chili & Her “Mystery Man” at the 2010 Soul Train Awards

At the 2010 Soul Train Awards, Chili was all smiles with her new man. Chili walked on the purple carpet looking like a million dollars with a tall blue-eyed white man (or maybe mixed) attached to her arm. They looked great together.
