Before this year’s Grammy Awards even began, unbelievable shock and sadness had overtaken celebrities, athletes, and fans all over the world. Just hours before the Grammy red carpet arrivals began, news broke that basketball legend Kobe Bryant, 41, his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, and 7 others died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. Grammy host Alicia Keys and show opener Lizzo made mention of Bryant to the award show attendees.

Kim Kanye Birthday SurpriseKanye West turned 38 years old yesterday and his fabulous wife planned a NBA themed birthday surprise party.  The millionaire reality star rented out the Staples Center for a reported $110,000 so Kanye and his friends could play ball on the famous court.  west vs eastSome of the guest included including basketball stars James Harden, Russell Westbrook, and John Wall, as well as, Tyga, Justin Bieber, and Pusha T.  Kanye and his celebrity friends played an East vs. West game, and of course Kanye was on team “West.”  Check out all the pics from the game below. With the NBA back in full swing celebs have already began lining up to sit courtside at the games to cheer on their favorite teams. Lil Wayne, his girlfriend Dhea, and Kanye West were spotted at the Staples Center to enjoy the Lakers vs Bulls game. And over in New York Alicia Keys, Swizz Beats, and their son Egypt were spotted at Madison Square Garden to cheer the Knicks on to victory against the Boston Celtics.
