Tina Knowles seems to be really excited about Mother’s Day this year. She told USWeekly:
“We’re excited because it’s Beyonce’s first Mother’s Day. [We're] all going to be together.”
“I’m hoping to cook! I want to cook. My traditional soul food and maybe gumbo. That’s my favorite dish!”
After giving birth to Blue Ivy in January, this is Tina Knowles’ second grandchild. There may be more to come in the future.
Beyonce won an award from the New York Association of Black Journalists for her Essence article “Eat, Play, Love,†the group said Wednesday in a press release.
In the piece, Beyonce justifies her decision to take nine months away from her career to travel and find herself.

Tina Knowles is going to be spending the next few months keeping a rather big secret. The mother of pop superstar Beyonce tells “Us” magazine that she knows the sex of her daughter’s baby, but she’s not telling. Tina did, however, reveal that Beyonce has been battling a little morning sickness, but is doing well for the most part and keeping “very busy.” Tina went on to say that she thinks the baby will slow Beyonce down a little, but she still expects her daughter to be “the same great person she’s been.” Tina also expects Beyonce’s husband, rap superstar Jay-Z, to be an “awesome” dad.
Beyonce and Jay-Z revealed their pregnancy back in August during the MTV Video Music Awards. The couple is expected to welcome their first child sometime in February. I was told that its a girl buy we will have to wait an see!!! LOL

Beyoncé and Tina Knowles are now worldwide as they’ve expanded the reach of their House of Deréon brand to London. The ladies officially launched the House of Deréon in London at Selfridges with a runway show during London’s Fashion Week. Beyonce rocked a black sequins jacket and matching black sequins pants and black pumps. Mama Knowles wore all black as well, in the form of a leather crop jacket, a loose fitting top and leggings.
