Trina Braxton encouraged several guests to try a new grey goose vodka cocktail she invented (4 o’clock rock). Real R&B is BACK and TV One is out to prove it. Last night Atlanta had the opportunity to be personally introduced to the stars of the upcoming TV One Reality show R&B Divas premiering August 20, 2012 at 10pm . The shows stars Nicci Gilbert (known from the group Brownstown), Keke Wyatt, Monifah Carter, Syleena Johnson, and Faith Evans were all on hand to celebrate and give a sneak peak of the upcoming season.
Aside from the beautiful venue, guest received complimentary drinks and food as well as having their ears blessed when the ladies sang Happy Birthday to the late Whitney Houston. The food was great and they didn’t run out of food or drinks  so you know it was a great night for me… LOL
The lovely Erica Dixon, from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta came out to support some of her close friends from the show. Erica got some big things in the works.
Reality Star Derek J (RHOA), and the lovly Arielle (Love & Hip Hop) also in the building, Derek said he’s been in the GYM, and is reportdly working on a new show.

Over the weekend, I got the opportunity to kick it with the R&B Divas from what I know will be a great reality show, — because it is founded on a great cause. A premiere date has been set for TV One’s most anticipated series R&B Divas.
The series revolves around R&B singers Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert, Monifah, Keke Wyatt and Syleena Johnson.
Set to premiere August 20, the show will
“follow them solo, together and in different combinations as they not only fight to get their lives on track but also to pay their good fortune forward. Divorce, parenting, drugs and alcohol, physical abuse and more – these ladies have survived it all and continue to deal with life’s battles each day,”
reports TV One.
“It is their personal mission to help other women in need. If women can learn from their mistakes, it was all worth it.”
Nicci Gilbert said the series is “fearless” and plugged the fact that it will be balanced to empower not destroy.
The ladies who are participating in this reality show which I feel would’ve been one of the biggest comebacks of all time had it gone the way Whitney wanted it. Thats right Whitney Houston reportedly played a major role in creating the original layout of the show.
Had she still been alive this would have been the show she would have been apart of. The show R&B Divas will be filled with drama but with a positive side showing what these ladies actually go through.
The ladies came to the Essence Festival stage to talk about their lives and the ups and downs of the industry and are back to claim their throwns as some of the top R&B Divas. The show is set to air on TV ONE.
The ladies ran into Elise Neal who was backstage preparing to show the world her sexy side and meet and greet fans from all across the country. The ladies also came together in a private party to tell Nicci Gilbert Happy Birthday.

Sorry old school soul music fans, you will not be seeing the legendary Stephanie Mills on ‘Unsung’.
The Grammy Award winning singer does not want to be apart of TV One’s hit show because she wants her life to remain private.  It is also reported that she feels the label “unsung†doesn’t apply to her. Mills says the ‘Unsung‘ producers have been begging her to do an episode for years.  Apparently the producers even went so far as to offer her a tour if she would be on the show, but Mills does not want to be affiliated with the show.  It seems like  she just doesn’t like it.
We are told that DFCS the “Department of Family and Children Services” YALL KNOW WHAT IT STAND FOR. Well they suggested that Halle’s Ex Gabriel Aubry go to Anger Management classes and he agreed. He really loves this little girl of his and that is apparent but him Pushing Folks and Yelling at Halle Berry all the time is just NOT working out. Looks like Halle met her match! She decided to play in the snow probably thinking she would avoid the ANGRY BLACK MAN retaliation from her own screaming and acting a fool & demanding ways with folks as she did Allegedly with past boyfriends Christopher Williams, Wesley Snipes, and former husband David Justice. Seems Halle is getting a taste of her own medicine “FROM THE SNOW”. LOL!
BET is being accused of violating another network’s exclusive broadcast rights. TV One filed a lawsuit last Friday claiming BET aired a “rogue” broadcast of the 2010 Essence Music Festival this past June. According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” TV One spent several hundred thousand dollars this year and last year for the rights to the Essence Music Festival.
They say they’re the only ones allowed to broadcast the 2010 show until 2014, but BET allegedly aired last year’s ceremony just one week before the 2011 Essence Music Festival. Read More »
