The couple tied the knot on the Caribbean island of St. Martin on the Fourth of July holiday with a long night of celebration, according to Chad’s Thursday morning Twitter post. Along with a new avatar picture depicting two left hands sporting shiny accessories on their ring fingers, the Miami Dolphins wide receiver tweeted to his followers that although he had been up since his usual 5:00 am wake up time, “the entire wedding party/guest are still drunk.” On the day of the event, “Ocho” posted random tweets about what was happening, including one that read, “I’m breathing like a pregnant lady in lamaze class right now.” The ceremony was filmed for Johnson and Lozada’s upcoming VH1 reality series “Ev and Ocho,” which will begin airing in September.
Chad, who changed his last name back to Johnson from Ochocinco ahead of his wedding also made headlines earlier in the week for a special guest he invited to his nuptials. The NFL player flew in 66 year old Ohio widow Cheryl Minton to be among his guests after she tweeted him about the recent loss of her husband, asking for his prayers.
