TI Harris and family continues to show their love for the City of Atlanta has they host their 12th annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway for Senior Citizens alongside Atlanta’s mayor Kasim Reed. This year’s event was hosted under the umbrella of his new non-profit Harris Community Works.

The afternoon was full of excitement as TIP and Atlanta’s Mayor Kasim Reed came together to spread a little holiday cheer and celebrate the renaming of the Adamsville Recreation Center to the CT Vivian Center. Mr. C.T. Vivan is an iconic Civil Rights leader from Atlanta so it’s great to see him honored by having a cultural and community center named after him in his city.

TIP, Mayor Kasim Reed, CT Vivian and their families, close friends, fans and local Atlanta representatives including Mayoral candidate Keisha Lance Bottoms, and Councilman Kwanza Hall were on hand to provide hundreds of turkeys and produce (including greens, apples, carrots, peppers and more) to senior citizens in need. Each year, the seniors are pre-identified through a city-wide selection with civic agencies and partners.
