The superstar Grammy Award winning group TLC is to be honored at the 17th Annual MOBO Awards in Liverpool England on Saturday, November 3rd.  The group is set to receive the MOBO Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music at this year’s show.

This will be the very first MOBO Awards the ladies will attend. Since the late passing of member, Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes, T-Boz and Chilli are very excited about the recognition they are receiving. Chilli said, “We are so excited to be receiving this award. It’s been such a long time since we’ve been to London and this honor means so much to us. The love from the UK has been absolutely wonderful.

TLC began their claim to fame in the early 1990s and comprised of members Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas. Despite the tragic loss of their beloved group member Left Eye in 2002, T-Boz and Chilli have continued the legacy of TLC both as a group and individually. T-Boz went on to become a contestant on Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice”.   Chilli later went on to star in two seasons of her hit VH1 reality show, “What Chilli Wants.” Currently TLC is hard at work executive producing their movie to air on VH1 next year.

The MOBO Awards will air live in the UK on Saturday and feature performances from many of Britain’s top musicians including Stooshe who will perform their popular remake to TLC’s “Waterfalls.” The MOBO Awards will also feature a performance from American artist Trey Songz and honor industry veteran, Dionne Warwick with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her 50 years of success in the music business
