Tracee Ellis Ross and her boyfriend Def Jam Executive Bu Thiam (Akon’s Brother) cuddle up over the weekend.  The homies over at TattleTailzz report Tracee posted a few picture on her instagram account. Confirming the two are dating and have been for a few months.
In other news Tracee signed on for a lead role in NBC’s upcoming drama pilot “Bad Girls.”
The concept of the TV show is based on the long-running UK series, The Project, from John Wells Productions. Bad Girls will follow the lives of a group of different women in a federal prison.
Sources report Ross will play Rachel, a very powerful business woman who was charged and convicted of selling phony mortgages. Rachel will pay her debt to society by serving time in the prison. The actress’ character delayed having kids because of her career, and now wants desperately to become pregnant – the only thing is she is behind bars of steel.
Tracee Ellis Ross, 39, is an American actress and the daughter of legendary singer Diana Ross.
She is best known for her lead role as Joan Clayton on the UPN/CW series Girlfriends. Ross is currently on the new BET sitcom Reed Between the Lines as Dr. Carla Reed.
