Bone Thugs-N-Harmony rapper Krayzie Bone is dishing the details about the group’s upcoming single-copy album that they plan to auction off to the highest bidder.
Check out the details below.
Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony tells XXLMag.com that the double-disc album will be called “E. 1999 Legends.” The first disc will contain about 20 songs that only include members of the Bone Thugs crew, while the second disc will feature a number of high-profile collaborations. Among the artists the group is enlisting are Mariah Carey, Phil Collins, Wiz Khalifa, Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Bone Thugs has already hit the recording studio for the project and has recorded upwards of 75 tracks so far.
Krayzie Bone also explained why the group decided to follow the Wu-Tang Clan’s plan to sell a single copy of their upcoming album “Once Upon a Time In Shaolin.” Putting only one copy of the album on the auction block seemed like a “good way of branding and marketing” what will be Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s final project. He added that the traditional way of launching an album has become “played out.”
