USC is trying to strip Reggie Bush of all his accolades and awards he recieved from their instiution, including his memory, due to the shame and sanctions he has cost the school (July 20). In a report released by the NCAA, Bush and his family allegedly received improper benefits from marketing agents while he was playing at USC.After rushing over 3000 yards in 3 seasons, winning the BCS championship and the Heisman, he had some reported dealings with prospective agents.  The NCAA and the world of football then put Bush under the microscope.

In a letter to the USC “family,” the president-elect of the school Max Nikias announced that any paraphernalia that recognizes any memory of Bush will be removed from display, including the Heisman Trophy. The same goes for basketball player, O.J. Mayo. However, it is unknown if the award will be stripped from Bush.

The new athletic director plans to scrub the mere image of both Bush and Mayo from the culture of USC sports. He says he would like to eliminate the mere reference of either of the players.

It seems as though USC is trying to point the finger at Reggie Bush. They’ve already eliminated they’re 2004 season. Now, the school is basically turning their back on one of their own by erasing him from their record books. Ok, thats find IF the school is going to do that, its their business but do so. But do it right, don’t JUST go after Reggie Bush, go after everyone involved…like the head coach Pete Carroll. USC wants to eliminate Reggie’s stats, then elimante the stats and wins under Pete Carroll. He was the coach when Reggie arrived on campus. And why did Pete Carroll finally decide to go back to the NFL when he was courted years before to go back? Because the s@%t hit the fan so he bolted for the Seattle Seahawks. You can’t tell me that a head coach did not know anything was going on with his star player (according to the NCAA)…so I say if they’re going to do something like that then do it right not half ass.
