The accolades keep coming for Usher. The R&B superstar has already earned a number one album with his latest release “Looking 4 Myself,” and now he’s one of the latest recipients of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 2013 honorees were announced on Friday, and Usher is joined in the Recording category by Jennifer Hudson, Luther Vandross, Janis Joplin, New Kids on the Block, Backstreet Boys and Thalia. Viola Davis, James Franco, Ron Howard, Bryan Cranston and Ellen DeGeneres are some of the other are some of the other celebrities being honored with a star this time around.

Dates for the new star unveiling ceremonies have yet to be announced. Honorees have five years to schedule the event, which is usually announced one week in advance.
