The Ryan Cameron Morning Show with Wanda Smith helped a family bury their five-year old son after he drowned at a community pool.

Check out the details below.

On Thursday, July 6, 2014 Domonick Brown, a five-year old boy passed away from drowning in a community pool. On Wednesday, July 15, 2014, Wanda Smith of V-103’s Ryan Cameron Morning Show with Wanda Smith, shared details surrounding Domonick Brown’s death after his aunt Stephanie Langston reached out to V-103 to request assistance in costs.

As a result, The Donald Trimble Funeral Home has volunteered to hold the service at their funeral home and help V-103 raise money to cover all expenses associated with the funeral. His aunt shared tearfully about her nephew,

“He was the most fun, loving child that touched each and every person that crossed his path. Our angel also saved 5 children by donating his precious organs.”

On Thursday, July 16, 2014, the V-103 family joined forces with This Is It BBQ & Seafood for an 8-hour live broadcast to encourage the community to make donations to cover the burial expenses. Wanda Smith shared cheerfully,

“People always ask me, how do you know which people to help? I asked God years ago to guide me on my decision and now I always get a flutter in my heart when it’s the right person.” This is why I love working for the People’s Station, V-103!”

The live broadcast was held at the Lithonia location of This Is It BBQ & Seafood (2853 Panola Rd., Lithonia, GA 30058). It kicked off at 6AM with the Ryan Cameron Morning Show with Wanda Smith and continued throughout the day featuring Ramona DeBreaux and Wanda Smith, and ended at 2PM.

Monetary donations were accepted at Atlanta’s Best Bank locations, the official fundraising location at Donald Trimble Funeral Home, Kroger and they can also be made online at http://www.gofundme.com/bbyc6w.

V-103 and Donald Trimble Funeral Home helped The Brown family raise over $18,000.00.

Kudos to V-103 for always looking out for OUR COMMUNITY. Our thoughts and prayers goes out to the family of little Domonick Brown.
