VH1 Gives Latifah’s “Single Ladies” A Second Season

Queen Latifah’s new VH1 show will be returning for a second season. “Entertainment Weekly” says the network has decided to renew their first hour-long scripted series, “Single Ladies.” The show will begin filming new episodes at the end of the year, with the second season debuting in 2012.

Queen Latifah, who is one of the executive producers, says she’s “excited” that the series has been well received, adding that VH1 is a “great home for this incredible show.” “Single Ladies” features Stacey Dash, LisaRaye McCoy, and Charity Shea as three friends working their way through the Atlanta social scene. The series premiered back in May, and currently airs on Monday nights at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. “Single Ladies'” first season finale will air August 8th.
