Two gay couples challenged the notorious Proposition 8 bill that banned gay marriage in California. After a very public debate, Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker ruled in their favor on Wenesday. The couples won on the grounds that banning gay marriage is unconstitutional and a violation of their civil rights.

Because of the religious fervor behind the anti-gay marriage proponents, it is likely that the case will be revisited in front of the Supreme Court. What do you think? Is marriage a civil right?
